We had an amazing time at this B&B. Every detail was impeccably thought out and the owners are courteous and pleasant. We stayed in the Red room for two nights. With advance notice, the hosts are happy to accommodate dietary needs. Breakfasts are made fresh and are lavish with a European feel (probably because Ron and Gerard are both Dutch). We spent time in the hot tub both nights and dipped our feet in the pool. The grounds are lovely. It was a special treat to meet the dogs (and the puppy!), but the hosts are also happy to keep them separate if you are nervous or allergic to dogs. We loved chatting with the owners/hosts, but they are also respectful of your privacy if you prefer to be separate. Everything is clean and well-decorated. Every room has a private bathroom and most rooms have a private entrance (the red and blue room share an entrance). Rooms also have fridges stocked with sodas. The perfect location to enjoy the shows of Stratford.

We chose Ron and Gerard's lovely B & B for our annual " Best Friend Getaway " weekend. 4 girlfriends from high school days meet up once a year and choose a different home away from home every time.
We are pretty picky with our 'needs' and all of them were met...and with class!
One of the main things we look for now is at least one room on the main floor as yours truly has very bad knees and hips.

We were able to assign to upper rooms to 2 of us and then I shared a room with Rosemary on the main level ...with our very own wee patio and entrance.

Rose took the futon bed and I took the double.
Being girls of a certain age ( we were excited to celebrate our 60th this year) we were very happy for the working ceiling fan. Yay !

Every day lovely fruit bowls were replenished with fresh fruit and we were given fresh towels ( although we recommended against it. They want to do it that way)

We each had our own tiny fridge filled with waters and sodas too.

We had access to SO many extras like the above ground pool, hot tub ( which we used under a starry night one evening) , and a large basement area complete with game tables ( not us...ha ha) , television and VCR ( which we used for a DVD we brought ).

And of course the breakfasts. We very much enjoyed the European inspired breakfasts with fresh fruit, yogurts, cheeses and even meat from their own cow! There was always a basket of the yummiest breads and muffins or raisin buns for example and hot toast too.
One morning we had scrambled eggs ( from their chickens!) and one morning a delicious, sweet Dutch wee pancake treat with syrup .
The coffee was good and offered to us to take away for the day too as we were mostly staying there to hang around and reminisce and sing.

We felt that Ron and Gerard were very personable and thoughtful.

Also , the rooms were well separated from each other so that if you happened to make noise ( like screaming laughter from us...ha ha) no one could hear you in other areas .

The beds were comfortable . The sheets high thread count too.

And the beauty of the area with the many flowering lilacs and pretty gardens is a joy to behold.

You won't be disappointed in a place that's JUST FOR YOU !

I was participating in a volleyball tournament in London and was bringing my 84 year old mom to continue on to Oshawa. Both Gerard and Ron were very, very accommodating. Treated us like family. Made sure my mom was comfortable having the right bed for her comfort. Gerard was very proud of his gorgeous home and property. His love of gardening and nature were very evident! The bedrooms were clean cosy and comfortable
Breakfast was served with eloquence and delicious.
Thank you both for a pleasant restful stay!! Oh the sauna & hot tub
Wow!!!! I hope to return for a longer stay!!!

Excellent coffee and quiet location. The Sunshine Suite is suitable for travelling with older children as it is adjacent to the well-equipped games room and located on the lower level away from other guest rooms.

A group of us booked a 2-night crafters' retreat. Rooms were large and most comfortable. Ron&Gerard made sure rec room facilities were set up for easy access to all our equipment and supplies. Meals were varied and delicious (!). Breakfast was presented in Dutch fashion, which besides a hot entree included coldcuts, several breads, fruits. Cooking techniques were shared happily. Several of us enjoyed walking the field trails and exploring the extent of the property during an afternoon break. Looking forward to a return stay and more thoughtful conversation with our great hosts!
