After looking at four units we were ready to leave. The units were either old and in need of serious updating or had other issues like only one queen bed (no king or no 2 queens.) Bathroom on different floor from bedroom. etc. Finally found a one-story two-bedroom updated unit near the beach. Took a lot of time. Recommendation: If booking site unseen assume the worst and you may still be disappointed. Otherwise good location. Extra fees for use of pool which are open seasonally.

I grew up in Lake Tahoe and had the opportunity to bring my husband this summer. I asked for the best and was extremely disappointed in what we got. The unit was disgusting - absolutely filthy! I actually brought a towel from the bathroom to put on the love seat. Yes, love seat, for a three bedroom rental there was only a love seat, no couch. The family room had a 17 inch tv and there were no other tv's in the unit. Of course we were there for the sights but it is nice to watch the news while getting ready for the day or have on the tv at night before bed. We had hoped we could enjoy breakfast and prepare lunches for hikes but sadly the kitchen was so ill equipped we could not. Screens were missing from the window so we couldn't enjoy the fresh air, and the chairs on the balcony were broken so we couldn't enjoy the view of the nation's our mountains. Such a disappointment for us. We won't be returning to Tahoe Keys...

We come to Tahoe for winter sports all the time; but its been decades since we've visited Tahoe in the summer. Tahoe Keys Resort was the perfect host for our new venture.

Plenty of homes to choose from. All properties had their own docks outside their backyard, so 'yes,' all of a sudden, i wanted to own a boat!

Most of the staff in the office were friendly and knowledgeable. Homes are a little pricey, but if you're splitting it with a small group of friends, well worth the money.

Tahoe Keys have some nice homes and condos and then some unclean, filthy, dirty condos and homes. We rented a condo for a week in July. The carpets were so filthy, stained and dirty that we ran out to the store and bought our whole family slippers to wear when they were in the condo. I cringed every time my kids played on the carpet. I wore the same white socks while walking around indoors and within two days they were brown. The bathrooms were dirty from soap rings around the tub to a yellow ring around the base of the toilet. The sliding door screen was torn, a third of the bedroom vertical blinds were broken or missing. I took a wipe to the iron banister and it was filthy. It looked like house cleaning came, put out some clean bath towels on each bed and left. The condo we rented is clearly a source of income for someone and that is it! I would HIGHLY recommended researching the place you decide to rent before commiting to renting it because it looks like there are more old, original, not upgraded units and homes for rent in the Tahoe Keys then there are remodeled/updated ones.

Rented a cabin off of Clement Street this last weekend for a Bachelorette party. Beautiful cabin but it was a hot weekend (high 80's/low 90's all weekend) and this cabin has NO A/C. None of their cabins do (I learned this from another renter complaining when I turned in the keys.). There were no dishtowels in bathroom or in kitchen, along with no liquid soap to wash hands or wash dishes. The cabin was clean and the free wifi was nice. Check out was 10am which is the earliest I've ever experienced in renting cabins. Hotel check outs are usually 11am or noon and you're not doing any clean up there. I've rented from other company's in Tahoe and was more satisfied with them so I will not be renting from Tahoe Keys Resort again.

Stayed in unit backing up to marina and boat docks. Average condo, nothing fancy. 1 bedroom, loft, 1.5 bath. Condo was ok. I guess my issues are with the management. Cleaning fee is not part of rental. Use of the amenities (such as the pools) is not included and is a seperate charge. Parking is supposed to be garage +1. Garage does not fit our car and parking lot always full with unpermited cars. Had to park in other lots and walk to our condo, irritating when making multiple trips to car to bring in groceries. Condo sleeps 6 but there were only 3 sets of towels when we arrived. No extra trash bags in condo, I guess bring your own. When the office staff was needed, they seemed to want to help. Again, the condo and facilities are ok, just seems like I should have nothing bad to say for the amount of money we paid. Disappointed so far, hope the trip gets better.

*The cabin we rented was not a cabin, but in fact a small house. (misleading)
*The hot tub was broken
*There were a number of screens missing from the windows that were missing. With no ac, this was a huge problem with the extreme heat.
*They rationed "ONE" towel per visitor. Unbelievable.
*The couch and the chair seats all had collapsed seats/foam. Very, very uncomfortable.
After a call to the office, there was no compensation for all the problems experienced. For the price we paid, over $250.00 per day, we could have stayed at a 5 star hotel.
Never again.

Room Tip: With no AC available, this is a place only to be considered as a last resort in the winter
