After an all inclusive holiday I came home feeling they wanted the shirt off my back

It's been 6 months since we visited Reethi and my opinion is still the same, hence the review.

Read the all inclusive notes carefully, unless you want to pay a big bill after paying for all inclusive you will be restricted to eating in the main restaurant, which is great if you like fish curry or salad.

Snorkelling equipment, put some more money aside for this, erm when all inclusive is not actually all inclusive at all

Should you happen to be on holiday during a significant anniversary please make sure to take your marriage certificate, that way you may be able to take up the offer of the sunset dinner. I'm over it now, it was probably fish curry anyway :)

Take your own milk if you want a cup of tea in your room in the morning. Apparently coffee mate is great in tea, the more you request milk, the more coffee mate you get, alternatively you could always buy milk at the bar - oh another cost.

Our first trip to the Maldives was fantastic, I was truly blown away. Sadly our second trip was to Reethi, oh well back to the Caribbean for us every time.

We had 8 nights at Reethi, the staff were excellent, we had a bungalow that was stand alone, (number 160) it was great for snorkelling as right out in front was one of the entry and exit points for going in the water. The food was really good, we were 'all inclusive' and ate at the buffet each night, they varied the menu each night so we never got tired of it. We went in August and were lucky with the weather only a couple of showers. The seaplane was a highlight, very smooth take offs and landings and the scenery was awesome. I did the snorkelling tour to turtle reef, we saw some turtles, and the night snorkelling which was great, I did the snorkelling tour to Hanifaru Bay, if you are a snorkeller you have to do this one, the Manta Rays were swimming and turning in front of me, it was unbelievable, a definite highlight for me. My husband did the technical tour of the resort and enjoyed it. Overall a fantastic holiday.

Room tip: Bungalows on the west side were good

We had a wonderful time at Reethi Beach and wish we had booked for longer.
We had a Water Villa which had a great view and was very relaxing listening to the water, when the weather got a bit wild one night the waves bounced off the bottom of the villa and kept waking us up but that just added to the experience for us.
We had an all inclusive deal which included some drinks on the menu but there was a good enough choice to keep us happy. We ate at the buffet every meal except one night and it was really good with a great variety of dishes.
The island is fantastic and lives up to it's no shoes policy, we only wore ours after some heavy rain.
We didn't do much in the way of activities apart from snorkelling which was well worth the effort.
I would like to give a special mention to the following:
Rasheed & Vishah in the buffet area,
Janakar in the bar near the water villas, Rahul and the boys at the main bar, Razziq who looked after our room and Stefan in the diving section who fixed my GoPro.

Have just spent 12 brilliant days at Reethi Beach. Although the weather could have been kinder, we still had a great time. We where Premier Inclusive, which allows you to eat at all the A La Carte restaurants. I personally would not want to eat at the buffet restaurant for every meal which is all you get when just inclusive. That saying we did try it and it was fine. You can eat at all the other places, but you have to pay, and can be expensive but well worth it. The rooms are pleasant and kept clean, right on the sand as you would expect. The dive centre is where we spent most of our time as we dive. Well equipment very experienced , and the diving was amazing. I will be going back to this idilic place next year, as we could not find one thing wrong.

Room tip: Water villa's are over rated in my opinion, although very nice.

My family (2 adults/ 2 children aged 15 and 13) had a wonderful stay at Reethi Beach during August. This is normally low season but we were so lucky with the weather during our 11 night stay. There were a couple of wet and cloudy days but otherwise it was beautifully sunny.

Reethi Beach is such a beautiful resort with very friendly staff. We very much appreciated everything the staff did for us, their friendliness and the very warm welcome we received.from everyone throughout the stay. Even though it was low season and the resort was not fully occupied it felt like there was a reasonable amount of people around the resort without it being in any way full or busy. We met many friendly people, a number of whom were return guests.

We arrived by local plane and short 25 minute boat transfer which worked really well on the way to Reethi beach. On the way back another time I think I would return by seaplane as other people using this transfer method on the way back seemed to spend considerably less time waiting at the international airport than we did.

The food was delicious, with great variety at the different themed buffets. We went on half board and this worked for us because of the quality of the food in the main restaurant. The pool restaurant worked very well at lunchtime. After dinner we went to the bar area. Evening entertainment was organised most nights by the staff and we also enjoyed pool, table tennis and table football in the nearby games room.

We loved the snorkelling on the house reef - there were so many varieties of fish plus turtles, sharks, moray eels, lobster - it was very easy to spend hours snorkelling each day. The highlight was the most amazing trip to snorkel with the Manta rays organised by the Dive School to Hanifaru Bay . This is a protected site, about 30 minutes by boat from Reethi beach and at the time we visited in August there is a very good chance of being able to snorkel with Manta rays. The day we went the guides estimated there were 35 Manta rays swimming , twirling, just below and around us. It was really incredible sight.

We all did a free try dive organised by the Dive school and my husband and children went onto do considerably more diving which culminated with a trip to dive with Manta rays at nearly Manta Point. The diving staff were excellent. We did a sail on our final day and found the staff there to be friendly and helpful too!

Our room was very well looked after (we loved the outside bathroom) and we enjoyed the technical tour to see behind the scenes of the resort and the daily fish feeding (or stingray, shark feeding!) organised by the resort.

My only negative comment would relate to the prices charged. Having paid what we felt to be a considerable amount for our holiday we then found drinks and activities to be very expensive and significantly higher than a nearby local island where we also stayed this holiday. If the resort were to look at greater promotional activitiy they may encourage greater take up of trips (eg snorkel trips/ watersports/spa) so that staff could be fully utilised even in low season. Likewise offers on drinks may encourage greater consumption! Other repeat guests indicated that prices had been significantly increased in recent years.

Overall though we loved our holiday at beautiful Reethi Beach and would highly recommend the resort.
