This is my second trip to Villa Selina and I would happily recommend it to anyone going to Bali, it is a must stay! The staff are beautiful and make you feel part of the family, all the food is fresh and cooked with love! I recommend it to all my friends and I'll be back every year to be spoilt and cared for by the villa Selina team! Whether your family, couple or lone traveller this is the place to stay! I love it so much I will come back!! Thankyou Putu, Matt and staff for making each holiday extra special!!!

Run by Matt and Putu and family. They treated us like royalty. Awesome massages, delicious fresh food, private villas, beautiful location, transport to any activities and sites available like waterfalls, boat trips to islands, day trips to Ubud, Kuta etc. The drive out of busy Denpasar through mountains and lakes to get there is spectacular. We loved being away from crowded tourist spots and just relaxing and being pampered. My only regret is not staying longer. Compared to the larger villas...I would recommend Villa Selina for its personal touch and not having your own slice of paradise. It was so affordable for what was on offer. You will want to come back and stay again and again.

A change of scenery was needed after the lushness of Ubud, and Villa Selina on the north coast of Bali had been recommended to us. In the best possible way, a two-day break felt like a two-week holiday. Matt and Putu are warm and friendly hosts, and allow you to do your own thing. This might mean shutting yourself away or joining the family in the kitchen as you would with old friends. There are three one-bedroom villas, separated only by a wall from the Bali Sea. At night, the lapping of the waves lull you to sleep, and you wake to beautiful sunrises. Tucked into the beautiful gardens are spots to stretch out and read (or sleep) and several eating places where your food will be brought to you if you wish. One is up a flight of stairs on a platform looking out to sea where at night you can watch the lights of the local fishing boats bobbing in the distance. Very romantic by candlelight. Speaking of fish - freshly caught whole fish is on the menu. Hard to beat. Villa Selina is not easy to find, but a phone call will send someone on a motorbike to guide you in. It's about 500m from the main road, but to walk back up there is to revisit old Bali, where the gang has coconut groves, small family compounds (a Bali pot belly pig was spotted) and coffee plantations. This is a great base to explore the area around Singaraja, and into the hinterland beyond Lovina to beautiful Munduk and beyond. Next time we need a break from Ubud, we'll be back. Thanks Matt and Putu.

Room Tip: The villa right next to the beach is small but lovely - but all are private.

My family and I spent the last three days of our Bali holiday with hosts Matt and Putu's at their Villa Selina. It was heavenly! I have already started planning my return. This was the first holiday I've had where as a mum, I just relaxed. No cooking, no cleaning, no hustle, no bustle... The natural environment is magnificent, and Matt has built the villa and gardens with respect for the natural environment, love and great skill. He has thought of everything from carefully placed resting areas with ocean views to pockets within the garden in the shade and in the sun around the pool. The bungalows are glorious and provide a magnificent resting place. I enjoyed a massage next to the ocean whilst listening to the waves. The food prepared by Putu was magnificent, what can I say, it was amazing, also cooked with love and nothing is too much trouble. This is a wonderful holiday destination for anyone seeking to experience the beauty of Bali, as much R&R or adventure as you like! We were treated as part of the family, along with the other lovely guests staying at the villa. Matt arranged a driver to collect us from Seminyak which made getting there even easier. I highly recommend Villa Selina.

This was the most relaxed I've been on a holiday. Matt and Putu make your experience whatever you want it to be - if you want to hang out and relax, your every need is met - if you want to do a day trip anywhere, they'll organise it. The food was simple, tasty and really fresh local dishes or western meals as well, the rooms are delightful and private. For us this was a well earned chill out, and it's best one we've experienced. The whole thing was great value for money too.

Room Tip: If you are bothered by the sound of the sea, the Garden room would the choice, but the view from the...

Villa Selina gives you the opportunity to enjoy traditional Baliness culture away from the maddening crowds. Putu and Matt have a lovely little resort built on the north east shoreline near Bondalem. Personal attention is assured by the wonderful friendly staff and of course Putu and Matt who go to great lengths to attend to your every need (even before you realised you had that need, have another Bintang Ken ). Thank you Villa Selina for providing my wife and i with a lovely couple of nights in you little piece of paradise.

What a great experience our stay at Villa Selina was, really couldn't want for any more.....we arrived as strangers & left as friends. Great food, great service & plenty of varied activities in the local area for the times when we weren't just enjoying the super relaxed grounds & gardens. Many thanks, highly recommended.
