The description of the villa does not tell the whole truth. It is truly superb. It has a spacious interior with good stylish furnishings and a well equipped kitchen if you wanted to self cater.
The outside area is beautiful. A sunbed for everyone! The terrace directly outside the house was sunny most of the day. There was a cosy corner by the sea wall where you could catch the last of the rays before sundown. Having visited during December and January it was perfect.
Having a pool and hot tub was the icing on the cake.
I have to mention the front of the villa from the main entrance. It is stunning. You just know as you enter this house that is going to be very special. Our family of 3 generations had a fantastic holiday. Lots of things I could mention like the sound of waves sometimes gentle sometimes wild but always relaxing, the little pools to swim in and the pier to fish from or the lovely walks around the white houses and the dolphins. Yes, we saw dolphins from the house. Oh! and the Christmas tree .....
Punta Mujeres is a delightful village with 2 small supermarkets, a sociade where the locals gathered to play boules, dominoes etc and food and drink at a very reasonable price. There are also 4 other bar restaurants all very welcoming and serving good food.
Arrieta is around 20 minutes walk away and is worth visiting as there are some lovely restaurants and two excellent beach bars.
We hired a car but you could easily enjoy a holiday without one.
Thank you Lavinia and Gualtiero for making this villa available for others to enjoy.
Yet again a fantastic relaxing holiday. We keep returning to the lovely Casa Mila and can't wait for the next time already. Home from home we love it. Lovely to meet the owners of the villa this year Lavinia and her husband were so friendly and it was nice to put a face to a name. Julie does the cleaning and Ken the pool and garden maintenance and as we have been visiting over a period of 10 years now we have got to know them quite well and they are both English so that helps too.
Yes another happy memory we share with our 3 children who love it too.
This is an amazing villa! Such a lovely area (nice and quiet) and a very nice pool and hot tub! I'm 15 and I thought it was amazing, there was a nice restaurant a short walk away that did really good pizza! There is a quiet cafe next door and an icecream place a short walk away. The hot tub was a really nice touch and I really enjoyed sitting in it and reading my book! Overall a lovely villa would definitely recommend!
A lovely, well equipped sea front villa in the quiet village of Punta Mujeres. The house was spacious, well equipped with a lovely heated pool and hot tub. Lots of thoughtful touches and holiday advice from Lavinia.
From the moment we arrived at Casa Mila (myself, my husband and the smalls: 7,5,2), we knew we'd found a gem and that we would be back!
Pre-arrival lovely Lavinia had done such a thorough job of booking us and sending us information about the property and the local area, we were ready to hit the ground running.
The house is beautiful and (for once with these things) - the same as or better than the photos! It's really well equipped - there was nothing we couldn't find. Even a cool box and cool blocks for picnics. Lavinia has thought of everything. The house is super clean and everything works! Showers, dishwasher, washing machine - a home from home.
The pool is kept clean and is a great temperature (I was worried about it being too cold for the smalls in April). The pool is not fenced, but the garden is enclosed and the smalls felt safe. Drinks in the hot tub in the evening whilst listening to the waves and watching the stars - positively dreamy!
Next door is a restaurant (not noisy or intrusive in our experience) who will bring you food if you need it. Their grilled fish is marvellous!
All in all, I can't recommend Casa Mila highly enough. It was a magical holiday for us and Lavinia's hospitality was second to none. We'll be back!
We have tried a lot of houses in the northeast of Lanzarote in the last years. This was the best we had for our holidays, this year with 3 generations in one house.
Everything was OK. Sometimes the smell from the restaurant kitchen in the Neighborhood was a little bit to strong appetizing at lunchtime.
Amazing location with great sea views, perfect for watching the sun rise, warm heated pool and fantastic hot tub. The house is beautiful and all the rooms look out over the pool and across the sea.
We have been to Lanzarote many times over the last 15 years and have never spent as much time in our accommodation as we did on this holiday - there really is very little reason to leave. Punta Mujeres is quiet but still plenty of options for evening meals, local shop / cafe was also good for morning coffee and croissants, restaurant next door for an early evening drink with the friendly locals. The kitchen is very well equipped and it was easily possible to make evening meals and have lunches by the pool.
We walked to the beach in nearby Arrieta a few afternoons (good for surfing, body boarding and swimming out to the pier) but also made use of the sea water pool 2 minutes walk from the house (lots of fish to watch). The north of the island is definitely our favourite part of Lanzarote and Haria, Mirador del Rio, Orzola beach lagoon, Jameos del Agua and Jardin de Cactus are all worth visiting and very short drives away.
The booking process was all very straight forward and communication both prior and during the holiday was quick and friendly. We would definitely stay here again - there were five of us but the house is huge and would be perfect for up to eight people .
