“Wonderful food and service”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

Ask for Veronica to serve You. She is the best.
Any fish dish is excellent. Leave room for their dessert of Panna Cotta with Berries. It is magnificent!

“Nice little place”
Reviewed 25 April 2013

The restaurant was chosen at random, among the many around the fishing port. This one seemed the most homely...
The reason for the visit to Centuri was the lobster, so we went for the 'plat chaud', a mix of poached lobster, seafood and calamari, set on a bed of salad. It was fresh and tasty, so we started nibbling away, waiting for the main dish, the lobster spaghetti. It was half a lobster (okay, they're small, but it's still half...) but it was wonderfully cooked: the pasta 'al dente', the lobster sauce, well seasoned, not overcooked, delicious!
The fish soup we saw at our neighbouring patrons seemed a good choice too, but there's only that much one can eat.
Desserts are not our thing, but still we tried the local pie with the coffee: a fresh cheese pie, not too sweet, but very nice.
The service was nice too, and the price... well, the price is what we expected all over the island. Would go back!

“Unforgettable”
Reviewed 18 May 2012

Delicious and perfectly cooked fish. From lobster to baked fish, mussels: whatever you want there :)
The setting is absolutely unique: sunset over the harbor, sea, wonderful scents.
Unfortunately, I do not remember much about the kindness of the staff nor if I get good value for my money, but ... I ate divinely, of course !
I recommend it!

“Large seafood place, mostly caught by the owner”
Reviewed 24 June 2010

This is a large establishment, spread across both sides of a little street. The main claim to fame is that the place serves fresh seafood allegedly caught by the owner's own little fishing fleet, and attested to by a shop next to the restaurant that sells fresh fish.

The place was pretty bustling when we came for lunch and opted for the outside tables. The service was pleasant but not particularly fast but we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter. Atmosphere was quite nice and you can see the harbour down one end of the narrow street, which fortunately did not have much traffic going by.

The food was quite nice though I had expected a different sort of shellfish platter, maybe because I am more used to the proper French fruits de mer. The shellfish did not come on top of a heap of cracked ice but on a little bed of salad which was a little odd, and accompanied by fried squid rings! However, it tasted fine and my partner enjoyed a lovely grilled catch of the day which looked like sea bream.

The wine was some anonymous Corsican white which we ordered by the glass and it was tolerable. Overall, we cannot really say that Corsican wines are the finest around but the whites are generally tolerable with seafood.
