“Stunning location, great hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 September 2013

I spent two nights here with family, and it was one of the most fun-feeling hotels I've stayed in for a while. The location is nigh on unbeatable. The views are absolutely stunning, across the water with the dominating Hoga Kusten bridge - everything a bridge should be! And the hotel is perfectly set up for making the most of the views. It's perched on a slope above the bridge; the building has as much glass in as possible, and the curved shape maximises the views.
We stayed in a 3-bedded room: one set of bunks and one single bed, which was not ideal. The room felt a bit like a cabin on a boat, but boasted great views, and if you can enjoy it as "fun" rather than worrying that it is not luxurious enough, then you'll be fine. There wouldn't have been room for a double bed and a single in the room, so I can see why they did it. Bathroom nicely done. We were on ground floor (-2!) so could walk out onto a patio area, with obligatory views.
We ate in the restaurant both nights, as the hotel is nowhere near any other places to eat. The food had quite a Swedish influence, but there were some more "international" dishes too. It won't blow you away, but it was tasty.
Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice, including hot breakfast, breads, pastries, good Swedish cheese etc. Couple of nice touches made it feel like they cared.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Great playground outside, probably aimed at kids really... Also a couple of fountains and a picnic bench. Lots of parking - the tourist information centre is in the hotel lobby.
This well-styled hotel (how many bridges can you spot? Check out shelves and the breakfast table!) makes a great base for exploring the Hoga Kusten, which is stunning, and the views from the hotel make a great introduction to it.

Room Tip: If you want to be able to get out of your room onto the hillside to enjoy the view from outdoors, ge...

Stayed in the hotel on the way to Stockholm in early January 2013. The hotel is conveniently located next to the highway E4. Non-small, but from the window - a beautiful view. Parking - more next to the hotel (the hotel is located on the mountain). Breakfast - not rich, but soundly. The signal strength of wireless internet is satisfactory.
But also, the hotel is clearly seen better days, now in terms of pulling on strong three stars. Room - too small, heating does not work well (in the morning in the room was cool)
