Description: The Drewe Arms is a 16th century thatched pub situated in the idyllic village of Broadhembury. We serve home made pub classics alongside a more modern British menu. We are a family run business who pride ourselves on a warm welcome and great service, a fantastic range of local real ales and home made food. We are open all day, 7 days a week.

“Pleasant village pub”
Reviewed 14 January 2014

We have eaten at this pub several times over the years and where keen to give it another go since we were aware of new landlords. initially we were a little worried about what we had come to as it seemed a little quite and 'local' if you know what I mean. But the food and service were very good and the end result was a good night out! We will definitely try here again. Try the liver - it was excellent. Local beers served in tapa's style glasses is a great idea i.e. 3 x 1/3rd of a pint glasses of a selection of your choice.

“Good beer and traditional pub food.”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

This used to be a specialist fish restaurant but no longer. Now serves good beers, cider and wines along with a medium sized menu of freshly cooked food, much of it local.

“birthday treat.”
Reviewed 27 December 2013

it was one of the worst days of the year to travel , pouring rain and very windy december 23rd 2013, however on entering the drewe arms it changed the day completely, warm welcome and blazing fire very friendly staff and amazing food, specials on the black board and a good choice of wines and beers, we had such a nice afternoon we forgot all about the bad weather, just between cullompton and honiton along the a373 call 01404 841 267 to reserve a table it's well worth it we will go back and walk around the village as look at the lovely village church when the sun comes back .

“Excellent service”
Reviewed 22 December 2013

Good atmosphere, good pub food and excellent service. The aubergine bake my wife ordered had chilli in it which my wife does not like. There was no hesitation from the staff in changing it for something else vegetarian. This is an excellently run country pub and well worth a visit.

“Disgusting”
Reviewed 27 October 2013 via mobile

We cannot review the food because we didn't even get seated. Table was booked for six of us at 1pm today. Five adults and a two year old. Arrived only to be informed of booking which was only made Saturday evening had not been written in and there was no space. Basically the landlord then said if you are mind to hang around table might become available when someone leaves. No effort to try to rectify THEIR error. The landlord didn't actually seem to care. If you plan to eat here. I  suggest you book then ring again to make sure they have bothered to write it down. A shame really as this is a very local pub for us just a couple miles away being in the rural area like we are you would think custom would be appreciated. Definitely one pub we won't be visiting again us or our friends.
