Beautiful small friendly hotel, freshly decorated throughout and lovely comfortable bedroom in soft relaxing colours and the cleanliness throughout was excellent. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked and the service was excellent. Hotel is in a perfect position for all the local attractions especially the Donkey Sanctuary and perfect for visiting all the lovely places along the coastline. We definitey intend going back to the area and will certainly stay at the Swallows Eaves again, thank you everyone for such a lovely stay.

Everything has been so well thought out for the guests at this lovely hotel, which is so refreshing to find. From the lovely bedroom with its relaxing decor and oh so comfy beds, to the wonderful cleanliness and freshness throughout, friendliness and excellent breakfast. Our only regret was that we weren't able to stay more than the one night there, but we promise that we will be back! Thankyou.

A lovely small hotel quiet and convenient for visiting the resorts along the coast. Good food, comfortable and clean, on site parking and excellent Wifi reception. What more can you ask for! Of the many nearby attractions we particularly enjoyed the Colyton/Seaton tramway, Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton.

Thank you for an excellent 4 night break, Dorothy and her staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We upgraded to the recently refurbished front bedroom, well worth the extra, although viewing some of the other rooms these were also very good. Restaurant food first class for breakfast and dinner. If you have time and the weather try the Seaton Tramway, up to Colyton and down to Seaton, plenty to see on estuary (don't forget Binoculars).

Thank you for making our 'Copper' Wedding Anniversary very special. Wonderful room, and delicious meal in the evening. Super breakfast the following morning. We really felt at home in this delightful hotel. Excellent location, not far to travel to lovely Lyme Regis, and many other resorts. Dorothy the proprietor is charming, and was extremly helpful with information about various things, and parking the car in Lyme Regis. This little hotel came up to our expectations in a big way! We will be back in the spring, we hope!

Room Tip: Hotel is set well back from the road. Our room on the road side was NOT noisy!

We stayed at Swallows Eaves for a few nights at the end of a longer West Country holiday and were not disappointed. The hotel is set back off the main road in a small Devon village known for being the place where T.E. Lawrence regularly refuelled his Brough MotorBike. It is a large house converted into a hotel with that also offers a Restaurant facility for non-residents as well known as 'Reeds' and good available parking facilities by the main entrance.
We found everything to our satisfaction, from the greeting by the owner to the quality of our room, which was spacious, comfortable and well appointed with an understated décor and furnishings but with excellent blackout curtains (which we both feel makes all the difference to a decent night's sleep). The long en suite bathroom was complete with a matching white suite that included a bath and a fine shower.
We ate in the hotel on one evening and selected soup and belly pork which we enjoyed. The breakfast was excellent - we particularly liked the quality of the strawberry based fruit selection that was on offer- and the cooked food and hot drinks gave us a good start to each day of our stay. Swallows Eaves deserves it's plaudits and although it most certainly hits the mark In terms of providing good quality and comfort, some may consider that it is just a little over priced at £135 per room per night when compared to others in the vicinity. We did feel that it was odd that at no point during our stay did anyone ask us if we found everything to our satisfaction (except to ask about the meal in question) and there was no obvious way of contacting anybody out of hours in an emergency if such a need had arisen.
