“Thanks for arranging superb weather as well”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

Amidst weeks of rains and floods, we dashed down to S Devon for quick weekend break. Got Swallows Eaves off internet and booked on basis of excellent reviews online. Took offer of Valentine's Banquet (good idea to have it the following evening by the way, much quieter) at Reeds Restaurant.
We have just finished major barn conversion so were interested to see detail of what Swallows Eves had done.
Thinking ahead to this review, what fault could we find? Well, apart from the huge portions of food at the Valentine's dinner (superb cuisine, but you don't normally expect such generous helpings!) which left us needing long walk, none at al! Superb standard of decor and comfort throughout, excellent friendly service . Value for money, Impossible to fault.

Room Tip: NOne Where was the swimming pool and fitness centre (see ratings options above)? - Missed those.

What can I say this was just a fantastic relaxing stay. The owner Dorothy was great and her hotel was very clean, tidy and very comfortable.
The food was very tasty, well cooked and presented. All of the hotel staff were very smart and so friendly making this such an enjoyable stay. The prices of the stay including all the food and drinks were excellent value. My wife and I would book again tomorrow if we were staying in that area. Well done to Dorothy and her team at Swallows Eves for providing a such a great place to stay and relax.

Stayed for 3 nights DB&B. Very comfortable, warm & relaxing. Beautifully decorated/furnished. Excellent friendly service from all the staff. Superb food from a varied menu. Good wines. Can't fault it!!! Will return.

Room Tip: Looked at all rooms. High quality. Stayed in de-luxe with bath. First rate.

Stayed overnight Saturday. Everything was comfortable, convenient, relaxed and enjoyable. Great breakfast, attentive service and good company. When we stay again in south Devon we will certainly choose the Swallows Eaves Hotel.

This is the third time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel and have witnessed the miraculous transformation made by the current owner in recent years. The rooms are spacious, warm, immaculately clean with super bathrooms and power showers. Reid's restaurant is a delight and the food, sourced from local producers, is delicious. A warm welcome from the owner who is very friendly and a good source of local knowledge. She took considerable time and effort to make our stay a delight.
We cannot recommend this Hotel more highly for the standard of accommodation, food and value for money.

This is the first time that we have stayed in a hotel over the Christmas period and the Swallow Eaves fulfilled all our expectations.
We received a warm welcome on arrival and the standard of food, friendly efficient service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended the hotel to friends who may be visiting the area in the future.
