“Great Stay for our adventure!!”
Reviewed 17 August 2013

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night in August, while on a road trip around the south coast of England. Lovely welcome from the new owners, who were very helpful, friendly and gave us great recommendations on where to eat/drink/sight seeing. Quiet location, if you want peace and quiet, however it is a great location to local beaches and towns. The room we stay in was nicely presented, very clear and great facilities to use especially the en-suite bathroom. Breakfast room was excellent, fabulous breakfast cooked to high standards. We would definitely stay here again in the future and for longer than one night.

Stayed for the weekend as we were visiting for a running event (The Grizzly).

Lovely welcome from the owners who were more than helpful and gave great recommendations on where to eat/drink etc. The resident dog was a great character too.

The hotel has a wonderful charm, the rooms are lovely, spacious and very comfortable.

Getting into Seaton was easy enough by taxi or a short drive. There are a couple of local pubs close by too.

Just stayed in Hollie cottage at yeomans acre.Large delightful beamed cottage with large lounge/kitchen diner, open plan. one large bedroom with fitted wardrobe and clothes chest draws, double bed and chair. The bathroom is a delight, marble floor and walls, a large shower cubical with full body power shower. ( very invigorating). The whole cottage is decorated to a high standard and is very warm with its underfloor heating.
The hosts (Mark and Lucy) are two of the friendliest and helpfull people you could wish to meet, with Lucy being an excellent chef. If your ever invited to one of there famous barbeques, make certain you dont miss it, although I think a bit of cheating goes on with Lucy cooking in the Kitchen. But the food is delicious, with its glazes and spices. The food is equally as good in the restaurant. Do not miss

On this our first visit to Yeoman's Acre we stayed in one of the two self catering cottages linked to the hotel (Hollie Cottage) and found it excellent value for money as well as having the added advantage of being dog friendly, even to the point of the owner being able to tell us of the best walks and dog swimming spots in the area.

Although the cottages are only basically furnished they contain everything you could possibly need for a stay of a week or more including a washing machine and dishwasher.

Admittedly the Hotel is close to a relatively busy main road, however, traffic noise was most certainly not a concern to us and was well compensated for by being able to park next to the cottage in a private car park, the proximity to Lyme Regis, Seaton & the Tramway, Sidmouth, Beer etc., good restaurants in easy walking distance, the friendliness of the hoteliers and the excellent freshly cooked breakfasts inside the hotel itself. We did in fact enjoy ourselves so much that we are to return again in October - this time to stay inside the Hotel itself.

Stayed at Yeomans Acre for a weekend trip to Devon on the recommendation of a friend, we were really impressed with the whole stay in a lovely spacious room at really reasonable rates. Breakfast each morning was excellent and Mark & Lisa the owners were really lovely and friendly - with 2 very cute little girls! There is a great pub across the road which is also worth a visit.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay again when we next return to Devon.
