The cottage was charming with a storybook view from the master bedroom.
Freshly made flapjacks and flowers greeted our arrival from the owner Mrs Capps, who was delightful. We stayed in the cottage with our grown up sons to celebrate my 60th birthday and relived happy days on Bigbury beach playing cricket and football and the most stunning cliff walks on the nearby coastal pathway. In the evening a well-earned pint in the Journey's End, a 17th century pub 500yds down the road in the sleepy village, you could almost sense the ghosts of long gone smugglers.
The cottage was so comfortable and well equipped and had two blue sky sunny days ... what's not to like !

The accommodation was just as described (if not better) than on the website,it was traditional with a nautical decor which made you feel you were close to the sea. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. We were met with a very warm welcome with a quick tour round of the property with a few helpful hints of where to go and what to do. The village was idyllic with a very quaint local pub and a short picturesque walk to a local beach (10 minutes)
