The head chef , Dolton Lodge, is a former finalist for the young Master Chef of Great Britain award and it shows. The menu had inventive dishes, expertly prepared and cooked. Crab, scallops with black pudding (the best my husband had ever eaten), Brill and Sea Bass with various sauces and accompaniments, then creme brûlée and a cheese board which was big enough to share. £71 ish but worth every penny (and it is our anniversary,so it was great to find somewhere so fabulous. I would consider the 1 + 1/2 hour trip to eat here again for a special occasion. By the way they also offer a £16 2 course lunch.
