We can endorse enthusiastically the many positive comments. This is the best place we have stayed that is not in Alistair Sawday, and that is a very high standard. The Tower Room is really a suite, with a sitting room at the top of the Tower, above the bedroom and bathroom. The views are spectacular from all the rooms, perhaps especially the bathroom, which has large windows facing down the estuary. Breakfast is genuinely extraordinary, cereals and fruit and compote, excellent cooked options, little treats, good conversation. We had to be prised away. Definitely one to recommend.

I had the most wonderful stay. I booked all three rooms in the run up to my wedding day in Topsham, and Ros could not have been more helpful. The rooms themselves are absolutely stunning - the views of the Estuary cannot be topped from the Powderham room, and the Tower room views just took our breath away! The breakfast is out of this world - we were spoilt for choice, from homemade French toast and granola to a full English. Absolutely superb. Ros was also very accommodating about what time we ate, and on my wedding morning made sure that a tray was ready so I could eat in my room while getting ready. She really went out of her way, and even handwrote directions to the wedding ceremony venue so we didn't have any last minute panics. I really couldn't have been more happy with our choice of accommodation. The only downside is that every Bed and Breakfast after this has just seemed second rate in comparison!

Room Tip: Powderham very spacious, Tower room fantastic views.

We stayed in the Tower Suite. Fantastic and uplifting views over the estuary, especially from the upper sitting room. The bathroom is a little quirky as the wash basin is in a separate space, but it is a small quibble. Great view from the wash basin! You need to be reasonably agile to get up and down the stairs.
We had smoked haddock and two poached eggs for breakfast. Excellent choices, though a French contingent were a little baffled as to why the toast was not on the table at the outset. Nothing is too much trouble. I found the ambient music eminating from the kitchen every time the door opened a bit off putting, but I am very sensitive to that sort of thing. Very helpful and pleasant hosts.

We have stayed at Reka Dom on a number of occasions and always go back there when in the Westcountry. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel "at home". The home made jams for breakfast are wonderful !! The views down the river are splendid and the local walks take you to facinating places to see birds and other wildlife.

Room Tip: All rooms ahve a good view but the one from the tower is special.

Nothing was too much for this excellent family Bed and Breakfast! We had a magical two night stay. The grand old house is full of character. The breakfasts are AMAZING as are the rooms, which have glorious views of the river. Most of all the family were warm, friendly...it was such a joy. Thank you very much.

We came to Reka Dom on our honeymoon and found an exceptionally warm welcome and an outstanding breakfast. The very helpful owners helped us out of a tight spot and gave us one of the finest breakfasts we have ever had.

We booked all three rooms for our family for two nights as our son was getting married nearby; we had stayed here as a couple in 2012 so knew that this was THE place to stay. We were not disappointed on this return visit as high standards have been maintained and my mother-in-law and our daughter, her husband and two little boys were mighty impressed!
All the rooms are accessed by stairs, so be aware if a guest is less agile, especially so for the Tower and Woodbury rooms; the Powderham stairs are wider and less steep.
Other reviews mention the breakfasts - and they are fabulous, so I'll say nothing more!
Nothing is too much trouble for Ros and Matt and as every other reviewer writes, when we need a place to stay in this area, Reka Dom is the number one choice!
Incidentally, Topsham is a lovely little place, very Cornish fishing-villagey feel - and don't miss the small Topsham museum, just along The Strand from Reka Dom - well worth an hour or so and a lovely cream tea!

Room Tip: Powderham for a lovely suite, four poster bed and separate small double bedroom - fabulous views! T...
