“Nice little bistro”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Been here twice in quick succession. The service on both occasions has been excellent and the staff very friendly.

The first time I sat inside for a lunch. The inside feels a little impersonal and due to the high ceiling has slightly echoing effect. It was however quite busy and lively so overall the atmosphere was pretty good. The second time I sat outside on a warm evening and it was very pleasant apart from the buses that terminate outside the restaurant and all insist on honking their horn before they reverse in addition to the use of parking beepers. This somewhat breaks the calm!

Both times, the food was very good but it is not the cheapest around, equally it is not the most expensive so I would rate it as reasonable value for money.

Will I be going back there? Almost certainly yes. The food is better than the pubs around the area but not quite up to the very best in Topsham. A nice place to relax and have a good meal.

“Great little lunch spot..”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

Although local we visited this establishment on a sunny Sunday as a preference to the The Lighter (pub opposite) which is charming, but being Summer crammed with tourists and with a 45min+ wait for food. Both places are great, but for a more personal restaurant atmosphere and attention this place wins.

We didn't even do the set menu - instead opted for calamari, bread, soup, tricolore salad as a light lunch. Total cost about £30 with drinks and some desserts. Would definitely recommend. Only issue if anything was having to go inside to pay on card but that is really picking at straws. The food/drink/service was all great.
