Lovely atmosphere, excellent service, well cooked food. You need to book to get a table especially on Friday evening.

“An enjoyable evening”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

Lovely setting, beautiful decor, friendly and efficient service.
Starter of asparagus with new potatoes and elderflower dressing a bit disappointing. Potatoes not fully cooked and no sign of the dressing. But everything else was very good.

Good afternoon Diana,
Thank you for your review, I am so glad you enjoyed your evening. Sorry that our potato and asparagus salad didn't quite meet expectations, I will mention your comments to the chef - perhaps a little more dressing and slightly softer potatoes.

“Nice riverside restaurant”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

Our cycling group stopped here for a late lunch. Picnic tables set up near the river allowed us to relax in a beautiful setting. The lunch specials were creatively presented and very tasty.

Good afternoon Robyn
I am glad you enjoyed your meal and were able to take advantage of the tables by the river which are really special when the sun shines!
I hope you will cycle by and visit again soon.

“Great riverside pub/hotel.”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

The bar area has great ambience, and the outside has wonderful pastoral views across meadow countryside at the junction of the rivers Clun and Teme. Prices on the high side for average food.

Thank you for your good review, I appreciate that our prices are not the lowest in the area but this is because we source quality local ingredients and all of our food is freshly cooked to order. We are keen not to cut quality for cost.
