Booked this B&B as it was close to an event we were attending. Stayed one night and had the Cheddar suite. Fantastic room...felt very luxurious with king sized bed and large flat screen tv. Bathroom was massive as well! Breakfast was very good and included in the price of the room. The staff very helpful and could not do enough for you.

Overall this B&B is outstanding and we would definitely stay here again.

I was a regular but infrequent visitor to the (real) Warwick Arms, as a group of friends it was central to where we all lived. So we would meet up for an evening of chat, a meal, a pint and a laugh, like friends do. Since it has been taken over by the chain and spoilt with improvements we have tried it, but not for us any longer. The improvements have killed The Warwick arms, now just a chain restaurant serving niche food. We still meet in the area but have moved a couple of miles down the road to a place where we feel welcome.

My partner and I stayed here on a visit to Cheddar and Bath as the hotels in Bath were ridiculously expensive. We paid £75 for The Glastonbury Suite, which is meant to be a luxurious room. You can see what they've tried to do with the place in refurbing it, but it doesn't quite work as they have just redecorated without really paying much attention to detail.

OK, so positives are the room was very large and spacious, with what has to be the most comfortable Super King bed I have ever slept in! Nice big telly on wall, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities and a whirl pool bath. Also, breakfast in the morning was really excellent....one of the best I've had - lovely sausages and bacon, and a really good portion size. Staff were also pretty friendly.

The negatives kind of overshadowed what would've been a really great stay. Carpet hadn't been cleaned properly and I found someone else's hair stuck to the bottom of my socks!, the paint on the wall near the window was peeling off which looks appalling and needs to be sorted out asap. There were also a few light bulbs gone out in the room and one in the bathroom, which made it really dark. There was annoyingly nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom, and quite possibly the most stupid thing they did was spend all this money on a refurb, only to put the cheapest, most horrible loo paper in the toilet! Honestly, you go to all that trouble and then fail on something so simple.....really disappointing.

If they paid a bit more attention to detail, this would be a great place to stay. Wasn't too noisy, although you can hear traffic out front. Also has a back door entrance for guests so as not to keep going through the restaurant. We did eat here at night and the meal was decent enough. I would consider staying here again.

Recent overnight stay to visit son in Bath (extortionate city prices forced us out of centre). Stayed in the Glastonbury suite. Overall very good, large room, huge bed, jacuzzi bath, nice furnishings, breakfast excellent and staff really welcoming. Just a couple of little gripes: the cups and saucers in the room were very dusty (presumably replaced days ago and unused since), paint flaking off wall near window and holes in the duvet cover.
All in all excellent value, would stay again.

Room Tip: Glastonbury is the 'luxury' option and very large room, but noisier at at front by main road...

We stayed here for one night. Price was great as we booked through hotels.com and got £10 off.
The hotel has only a few rooms and they are above a busy mezze restaurant. The room itself was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable.
The walls are pretty thin, although we didn't hear any of the downstairs restaurant noise, or any noise during the night, the next morning we could hear everything that was going on in both our neighbour's bathrooms!
We had breakfast which was included in the price. It was tasty and filling, setting us up for the day (and helping nurse some sore hangover heads!).

Trying to find a hotel in bath but its so expensive decided to look further afield. Its a lovely modern restaurant and hotel and for a one night stay all we needed was a smart clean room with a comfy bed and this is what we got. Breakfast was good but the service let it down even though it was quiet. Service was good in the evening but we only had a drink and a pudding as we ate in bath.

I hate reviews that start with 'if only'....but I can't help it...sorry.
If only the upstairs was as good as the downstairs...
Start with the positives...the restaurant/pub was busy, had a decent atmosphere and the food was great value for money. The staff were hardworking and friendly....
However, this was a three day two night treat to get the Christmas shopping done in Bristol and Bath...we were seduced by the 'boutique' hotel look and booked a month in advance, requesting the Glastonbury Suite...their best one and also a table for 2 at 9pm. I then rang the day before to confirm everything and was disappointed to discover the table hadn't been booked as promised but it was re booked. We then arrive after a long day to be told that the room had been double booked and we had come second. I was too tired to get annoyed but expressed my disappoinment stating that I had only confirmed the day before!!! Roll on a complimentary bottle of wine. We then get shown to another room...which was tiny and disappointing...so noticing that another suite was free we asked for that. This was bigger but as we were soon to discover....no one can have stayed in there since September as the clock had not been put back and the expiry date for the milk was 23/09/13!!! The following morning, the very helpful and apologetic duty manager, informed us that she would move us to the original room and that we would get the second night for free....this was kind and made up for the inconvenience and disappointment.....but we discovered that the Jacuzzi bath did not work!!
It is a shame that this place can't make up it's mind what it is....either be a luxury boutique pub/hotel that has a good bar and restaurant or stick to a travel lodge format....the rooms weren't that clean and the paint was peeling off the walls.....some £400.000 makeover and whoever made the decision not to put wardrobes and/or drawers in every room is an idiot....
That said, the staff were hardworking, kind, friendly and very helpful.....I would always eat there but don't think I could take the chance with the rooms.

Room Tip: The Glastonbury Suite is the only one worth booking
