“Beautiful and peaceful”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

Stayed here in May. Beautiful. Unfortunately I was working there so I didn't get to see the local beach. Very nice staff. Rooms clean and airy. I was ground floor with access to pool. Pool very clean. Breakfast adequate. Would come back here with my wife for a long weekend. Perfect.

Room Tip: Go for ground floor facing the pool.

We stayed at the Monti Di Mola from the end of May 2014 and had a fantastic stay. The staff are truly fantastic making every effort to help you out in any way. We arrived tired around 5pm and asked for a restaurant recommendation, Kathya directed us to a place we could walk to but half way into the walk as the clouds darkened and wind picked up there she was in her car to rescue us! We couldn't believe it! Kathya really does make you feel like a part of the family!

The hotel is in a peaceful area a very short drive from great beaches and Porto Cervo. It is very nicely decorated and has a tranquil feel to it which makes you relax immediately. The rooms are spacious with good bathrooms and nice pool views.

Breakfast was a nice continental spread brought with a smile.

The staff were really helpful and gave us recommendations on where to eat and visit each day. We had one rainy day but they advised us on things to do with it (we drove to Baja Sardinia, a lovely port nearby) where it was sunny! It has a great Gelateria 'Mr Ice'.

Kathya booked us our full day boat trip which departed from here to go around the Madalena Islands which are a must see.

She recommended us to go to a restaurant called Lithos nearby the hotel which was really good. They even made a table for 2 of us moving a party around who were already there! It had lost of local in it which is a good sign. You get free pizza bread and a glass of Proseco on the house! We also liked the Belvedere restaurant nearby and clipper in Porto Cervo is a bit more expensive but a fun experience.

There is a nice bar opposite the hotel where locals go which does the best thick Italian hot chocolate, really delicious!

A tip is that as the hotel is in the hills even if there are some clouds it is often sunny only 10 minutes drive away. Being among the hills and rugged Sardinian landscape adds to the experience and we still had some sunny days there. A car was essential which we picked up from Olbia airport and gave us the freedom to explore.

On our final morning we had to leave the hotel at 6:45am before breakfast had started. We were sure we'd missed it but the night porter got us a hot drink and some croissants to fuel us which was another nice touch.

We'll be back one day!

Room Tip: A room looking out to the pool is nice.

It's taken me a while to write this review as we stayed here at the end of Sept but I promised myself I would write one because we had such a great time at Hotel Monti Di Mola! The rooms are big & spacious and like many other people have mentioned the only negative thing I can say is that the shower was very small but this isn't the end of the world!! You definitely need a car to stay here but some of the most beautiful beaches we've ever been to are only a 5-10minute drive away and there are loads of them. We went to many of the local restaurants and a couple of bars - our favourite bar was Terrazza Rosa (cocktail bar which provides delicious free snacks), a 5min drive from the hotel which has an amazing view. We went here 4 times in just a week! Taxis to & from Porto Cervo were expensive so my other half always had to drive there.. We also went at a quiet time of year so go earlier if you like busier restaurants & bars! Most shops in Porto Cervo were closed as it was end of season. Our favourite restaurant was Belvedere which is an amazing local seafood restaurant 5mins away, best calamari ever!

The hotel staff would always serve us drinks late at night as they have a 24 hour bar which was great because my boyfriend was often driving us to dinner! The staff are the most welcoming staff we've ever experienced at a hotel, they really do live up to the reviews! Katya was the sweetest lady who we spoke to every day and gave us great advice about where to eat and things to do, We were genuinely sad to say goodbye to her!! :( everyone was so friendly and welcoming it really did make our holiday that much more enjoyable.

I would highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it and the rooms are such great value for money, we searched through tonnes of places in porto cervo but they were just so expensive and I doubt we would have had such welcoming staff anywhere else!!

Thanks again to Katya and all the other staff for looking after us so well! We'll be back one day!

Naomi & Nick x

Room Tip: Chose a room with a balcony as you can enjoy the sunset!

This was our second visit to the Monti di Mola Hotel and once again we had a fantastic time. The moment you walk into this hotel you feel relaxed. The interior is clean and cool and - as many other reviewers have said - the staff are absolutely superb. We spent most of our time at poolside, but the hotel is well placed for some fantastic beaches. A really lovely hotel, which we highly recommend.

Room Tip: Definitely worth upgrading to a room with a balcony.

Halfway through a great value, two night stay at this beautiful 25 room charming hotel. Nothing seems too much for the staff, rooms are large, with balcony overlooking pool, a bar serving very generous gin and tonic, and 10 minutes drive to the best beaches in Europe. We're in holiday heaven!

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst working for a wealthy russian client acouple of miles away. The desoign company i work for( i am an artist/muralist) put us up here and i loved it. Small cosy, intimate all those apply but to finish work and to come back here and relax well..... staff very friendly but not in your face. Only 28 or so rooms circling a small but loveley swimming pool. If it wasn't for work i would come here for a weeks anonymity with the wife and completeley relax. the hotel does a continental breakfast with seriously good coffee but no restaurant per se. There are eateries over the road but i just went to the supermakets(4) over the road and bought hot chicken or lamb or whatever dishes and brought them back to the hotel. they had no problem with this. I was there out of season so it might be different in season! Rooms very , very clean. I would come back here again with my wife for a completeley relaxed switch off for a week no problems. apparently the beach is about a mile away but as i was working there it wasn't on my list of priorities! However said to be a loveley walk and beautiful beach.

Room Tip: Rooms 101 and 102 are fitted for chair users. I stayed in 101.
