We only stayed here one night before our departure back home. We were very happy with the hotel. The rooms, hallways, reception, are all clean & modern. The service at reception & restaurant is very good, & a very reasonable cost. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, especially for early departures to the airport. Even though it's in an industrial area & not close to big shopping, it's still a great place to stay. Much appreciated!! We would definitely stay here again!

We booked here sight unseen and were sold a "suite", for which we paid extra as we were a couple with an female cousin travel partner, needed a room for an early morning flight from Lisbon airport. The hotel was easy to get to using my GPS but as others have said, hardly in a tourist friendly section of the city.
On arrival we found that there were no suites = all rooms were the same size. We could use a room with two twin beds and a hideabed, and there would be a 30 euro charge to open and make up the bed. What could we do but take it, as the hotel was sold out, having zero extra rooms.
As my wife said, "The room will fit us but not our luggage." We made do, and ate in the hotel, which offered an economical, no frills supper, and a fair breakfast (included in the rate).
I've stayed in several Holiday Inns (regular and express) & Crown Plazas in the US, and this one certainly was comparable, being clean, good value & with well-trained courteous staff.
My sole complaint was with the booking agency. From conversation with a fellow American business traveler in the lobby who also didn't get the king size bed he requested, I think this is fairly common, sort of "stuff 'em in, they can't go elsewhere.
If alone, I'll stay here again. With family, never.

Room Tip: As far away from the freeway as possible!

We only spent one night here when arriving in Lisbon & really only needed a comfy bed & a clean room at a reasonable cost. OK the hotel is not set in the most touristy part of the city, in fact it is sited close to the airport & in a bit of an industrial estate but do not be put off. The service at the hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were gracious & friendly with the ability satisfy any requests we made. Our top floor room was more than adequate & the beds wonderfully comfy. It all seemed very new.

We did not eat dinner in the restaurant as we had reservations elsewhere but the continental breakfast was very good indeed.

Yes we would recommend this hotel for a short stay as the pricing is good & the closeness to the airport can't be faltered. What's more we think we may well give other Holiday Inn Express Hotels a try ... can they all be this standard?

A very nice, modern hotel near the airport. Our room was nice, clean, and very modern. The staff was wonderful, and dinner was very good.Very convenient-but there should be a shuttle available to pick you up. We called and it wasn't available. We took a taxi, which was fine, but we wasted time trying to call the hotel.

Like many others here, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express because we had an early flight from the Lisbon airport. The price is right: less than Euros 70 for a decent room. We had to leave before breakfast but found the dinner plain but acceptable--hamburger patties and potatoes. There is a three-stool bar and a one-unit business center, which is inadequate for a place that serves travelers; but it's free, so it's no big deal to wait. After a cruise ship with no English-language TV but BBC it was comforting to have a lot of choices on the TV. All the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. The location is pretty bleak amid a warehouse neighborhood. On a rainy day walking anywhere is out of the question, but the room was comfortable enough for just camping out and watching TV. It would have been nice to have some sort of breakfast: after all, the shuttle service starts at 5 a.m. (breakfast not until 6). Even so, for the money, we have no serious complaints.

Never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before and was pleasantly surprised, very well designed comfortable rooms with free wifi. The hotel backs on to the motorway but is well sound proofed and fitted with blackout curtains. The hotel also provides free parking.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and make you very welcome.

The only fault we found was the circuit breaker box near the door made a loud humming noise which meant we had to change rooms which was a real inconvenience after a long day and with an early flight the next day. The humming was in the room we moved to but not as loud, not something you would expect in a newish building. Apart from this its ideal for the airport.

We had an early morning departure from the Lisbon Airport so the Holiday Inn was perfect for us. There is not much to do near the airport so you either have to eat at the hotel or take a taxi (we went the the Vasco de Gamma mall). The WiFi was cumbersome because you had to sign-on each time you accessed it. The shuttle driver did not know what terminal Iberia Airlines left from and that was a little stressful. (Note: terminal 2 has all the low cost airlines). The shuttle fee is 4 euro/person.(but worth it)
This hotel room was very basic, a typical Holiday Inn. The only advantage was its proximity to the airport.
