Positives: We were very pleased with this hotel. We spent one night on a lay-over. The room was large and very clean and modern, and quiet. The internet was free and worked very well. The TV offered a good selection of channels. Breakfast was included and had a good assortment--meats, cheese, yogurt, cereal, juices, hot beverages, fresh fruit, good pastries--no eggs. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. We asked for a 1 PM check-out and received it. it is only a 5-minute drive from the airport. There was no food service at the hotel available upon our late arrival but there was wine! And Pizza Hut delivered a great, inexpensive pizza and free breadsticks to us--which the staff called to order for us.

Only negative aspect is that the shuttle service does not run at all hours. We arrived late at night and had to take an airport taxi who charged us 10 euros. It would be good if they could expand shuttle service hours.

Typical Holiday Inn Express. Comfy bed(a little firm), nice breakfast buffet and helpful service from all staff. BUT, this hotel is in an industrial estate, next to the highway and it's not the sort of place you walk out of the front door and explore the local area. But if you need somewhere to stay near the airport, this is OK.

Five minutes via taxi from Lisbon International Airport and two blocks from the Lisbon city bus stop #781 Prior Velho bus, a 20 minute ride to "Marque de Pombai" for 1.80 Euros. This bus will also take you to the airport which is on the way to downtown (approx 7 minutes from hotel) From here you can catch a variety of double decker sightseeing buses 'Yellow Bus" or the red "Sightseeing Portugal" bus.

Hotel is new and very clean. Friendly staff, complimentary breakfast and FREE WiFi!

NO free shuttle to airport...Cost 5.00 Euros! or take the #781 Prior Velho bus to the airport for 1.80 Euros if you don''t have much luggage.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better, I was on the ground level and overlooked the parking lot, but room was gre...

We chose this hotel because we had a very early morning departure from Lisbon and wanted to be close to the airport. It is not all that close, though. There is no restaurant around, as it is in a warehouse district. There is a reasonable dinner served in the hotel, so you will not starve. The room was nicer than I expected, and staff were pleasant. We had to leave for the airport before the breakfast was served and before the shuttle service started. An airport hotel should have a 24 hour shuttle and at least a muffin available at all times, in my opinion. And although we had to take a cab to the airport, be aware that their shuttle is not free. It was ok, but there are better choices.

My husband and I had a 24 hour layover in Lisbon and stayed here because the price was decent and it is close to the airport. We received good customer service, stayed in a clean and comfortable room, enjoyed a nice breakfast consisting of meats, bread, and cheeses, and was in a convenient location. I would definitely recommend staying in the town center if you're in Lisbon on vacation though. This location is really good for just a short stay like a layover or business trip.

Convenient for the airport. We stayed after arriving on a late flight. Good check-in staff, perfectly adequate and quiet room and an OK breakfast. Would be good to not have to pay for the airport shuttle though!

The Holiday Inn Express Airport is a nice hotel, but with some perks.

First of all, it's not so close to the airport as one could think. It's a very long walk, on a "kind of warehouse" neighbourhood, and a Taxi ride at 5AM costed me 7 euros (cheap, I know), but from many hotels in Lisbon it would cost me some 5 euros.

The rooms are nice, as one would expect from an Holiday Inn, and staff if friendly and helpful. I asked for a quick snack at 5AM but they couldn't guarantee that they would provide it, finally, they came up with a sandwich that had been made the day before. It was good and tasty, but I think that they should consider solving this problem.

I enjoyed the hotel but I will probably stay elsewhere next time I need an hotel close to the airport.
