We stayed 5 days at Vecchio Asilo. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay as we took day trips to Florence, Siena and the breathtaking wine country that make up this part of Tuscany. And don't forget San Gimignano, a wonderful town at only 10 minutes driving distance. Returning to Vecchio Asilo was like returning home every night.
The rooms are spotless. Elio made a fresh breakfast every day, which included delicious homemade fruit pies by his wife Stefania. Elio gave us great advise on where to go during our daytrips. he knows the area very well. Thanks for everything, Elio!
And on another note: if you thijk that there are no good restaurants in the direct vicinity of the hotel, try Vico Furbo at only 5 minutes driving distance. The best!!! We wish we could eat there every night. (See our review elsewhere.)More
