“Beautiful”
Reviewed 24 June 2012

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, my girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights just after christmas and it was lovely. The location is beautiful and relaxing, the service was fantastic and the rooms were cosy and comfortable. Even got a chance to try their hot tub in the middle of a freezing cold night. Counting the days until we can back there!

Thanks to Alan and Katie for their very warm and friendly welcome to us all. That was 2 grannies, 3 adults and two kids. The rooms are excellent, clean and warm and the Wee Bothy is a great idea. Ideal base to visit Fife and the surrounding areas. We will be back to stay. Thanks to you both. Sean and Barbara.

Room Tip: If your stay for 4 days or more choose the Wee Bothy

Being a business traveller staying in Scotland every week, fancied a bit of a change from the run of the mill chain hotels I normally stay in. Chanced upon Redlands on a website and booked a nights stay.
A bit tricky to find, but what a little gem. Lodges are very pleasantly appointed, cosy and warm with good quality toiletries provided. Can seem cramped, but hey, you ain't going to get a palace in a cabin, stayed in far smaller hotel rooms at twice the price Very quiet and secluded location, but near enough to nearby towns for dining out.
Owners were very friendly and welcoming, great homely breakfast in the morning. Free Wi Fi in the rooms which I wasn't expecting. Very pleasing change from the humdrum that I am used to. Will certainly be trying to book again next time I am in Fife.

We booked as a party of 8 to stay at Redlands over New Year and were delighted that we were given exclusive use of the lodge and Bothy for the duration of our stay.

The individual bedrooms, which are situated in the lodge, were great and each one has its own individual en-suite, which was a big plus point. The mutual living area was perfect for our group to see in the bells and for us to relax in.

The Bothy is separate from the lodge area and has a bathroom, seating area and small kitchen area, which was perfect for our group for making breakfasts, tea and coffee etc.

The main attraction for our group however was the Alaskan Cedar Hot Tub. The Hot Tub is a great temperature and in a fantastic setting and made our trip getting to drink Champagne in it under the stars just before seeing in the bells for the New Year.

Kate and Alan the owners were fantastic and very relaxed in terms of being allowed to used the Hot Tub in the evening. We thought it was great value for money and would thoroughly recommend booking here and hope to visit again.

We had a great stay at Redlands with super-friendly Kate and Alan. Lovely comfy room with loads of little extras and fabulous breakfast. Had a nice dip in the hot tub. Very convenient for St Andrews and other Fife attractions, a great stay!

Kate and Alan welcomed us again, with the same wonderful welcome we had encountered on our other stays with them in the lodge, this time we experienced the "wee bothy" and can only compliment them again on their ability to make us feel like returning friends the wee bothy was lovely and a credit to them, Kates breakfasts are scrummy and we always feel sad when we leave them, always with the promise to return. Mum had a fabulous time and when Kate found out it was her birthday, she presented her with a lovely present, which made her day. so once again Thank you both so much see you soon
