“A fun day out”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

I attended at Aqualand along with partner and two kids. I was not a fan of water theme parks, however I had an excellent day out here.

I was impressed with how much sunbathing facilities there was, I prefer the shade and there was ample sunbeds in the shade. It was a very hot day when we attended and apart from the occasional long queue I managed to avoid being out in the sun all the time. . .

The prices at the kiosks were surprisingly average, I expected to be ripped off as per previous water parks, but no, the prices were about average for many local hotels and restaurants, a really pleasant surprise ! I enjoyed a hot dog and chips along with a very cold can of drink for several Euros !!

The rides are what you would expect, plenty of them and to suit most age ranges, the Black Hole was my favourite !

The wave pool was great fun, no need for a ring just get out there and splash about, the lifegaurds watch this area very closely and are strict about the age restrictions, which is a good thing.

The place is reasonably priced and a great day out !

Had a great day here at the waterpark! Entrance prices were good, a large variety of slides for all the family, clean, and the wave pool was fantastic! However I wouldn't recommend putting young children in the wave pool as the waves get very high. Also, this is the only waterpark I've ever been to that doesn't rip you off for food and drinks; it was only €0.60 for a bottle of water!

Water parks can often be a mixed bag as we all know. However the feedback from 4 children aged 12-15 was fantastic. Whilst the entrance fee was high at 18 euros for the older ones, they had 3 hours of fun and came back exhausted. Would highly recommend it!

Stayed here for a week in Aug with my hubby and two children had a fantastic holiday. The rooms were great everything in close vicinity. Animation team were excellent they put on a great show every night and entertained well during the day. My only complaint would be that you could not walk into town it was too far and roads too dangerous with no paths so we get the bus in and out which was very handy but I missed walking. Pool was great water park fab food was good and entertainment brilliant. My children did not want to come home. Really enjoyed it and weather was fab

Travelled independently from our hotel near Corfu Town to Aqualand. 20 euros each way. Didn't take the trip as part of the holiday companies excursions as works out much more expensive.
25 euros per adult, 17 euros for children of 4 and above, children under 4 free.
Plenty of slides and fun for all ages, with no big waiting times. Had an enjoyable day!
Watch out for the wasps when you are eating....there are LOTS! They don't seem to be aggressive but they are highly annoying and our young children were scared by the amount that showed interest whilst we were eating.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel, rooms and facilities were all very clean and well kept.

Food was all very good but very good, but a little repetitive.

Wave pool was great fun, seemed to be on 5 mins off 15 mins throughout the day with varying wave patterns.

Suncream in hotel shop was 20 euros (take enough).

The Waterpark was next door, just need to wait a little for the side gate to open, which closes 5pm (park closes 6pm) otherwise use the main entrance and walk around.

The slides etc are free in the waterpark but not foor and drinks, so if you're All Inclusive you'll need to pop back next door for a drink etc.

Some slide had 5 min queues others none.

Some slides had photographers with photo's pre printed near the entrance and circa 3 euros each.

One week was enough if you just want a water park, if you want day trips too, i'd suggest 10 days to 2 weeks, or take another cheaper hotel and visit the park 2 days. We got around the whole park and several times on each slide in 1 day.

The paths up to the tall slides are tree lined and shaded.

Some slides are for age 8 or under (no adults), possibly due to water depth at the bottom.

The hotel accepts day visitors, but we didn't hear of any issues with things going missing.

Our room (tin / double) was basic, no iron, no kettle but had AC which was fine, and TV which was OK too.

There's mixed nationalities at the hotel, Holland, Italy, Spain etc. The entertainment staff were mixed too, Poland, Belgium, overall a very cosmopolitain hotel, no trouble lots of frinedly people, probably due to price of hotel.

You could stay cheaper, visit water park for 2 day and have enough spare change for 3 or 4 day trips out too for the same price, but your hotel probably won't be as good as this.

One drawback is location, it's not on the coast, but the hotel does provide a free bus to the beach every day and twice a day to corfu town. We didn't have time to get to either.

We wen't scuba diving which would have been a lot cheaper booking online in advance but was 95 euros for 1 adult 1 child.

We went end of July, weather was spitting a little on first day, a few days with odd clouds and temperature around 35C.

Hope this review helps.

We have just returned from a week at this resort with son, daughter in law and grandchildren (aged 7 and 2). We had 2 one bedroom apartments. You must get your own luggage to your rooms without help and that is not easy given the site is spread out. Each apartment consisted of a lounge where the settee had been converted into a bed and another bedroom upstairs. The stairs were very steep so not child friendly. It was clean if fairly basic. We were near the wave pool which is probably the best place as rooms nearer the reception may suffer noise from the evening entertainment.
The hotel has 3 pools - a children's pool where the water is 0.5 metres deep, a large pool and a wave pool and these are all excellent. There is an indoor soft play area open until 8 pm which is good but the outdoor play areas (swings and slides) are very poor. There is an easy connection to the water park next door which has slides for all tastes from young children to those wanting something very much more exciting. Residents of the hotel can get in at 10am before the water park opens to outsiders at 11 am and this is very good as it avoids possible long queues.
The main restaurant is buffet style and there is a wide choice and the quality is fine though not a very high standard. You won't go hungry. There is another bookable smaller restaurant the other side of the wave pool which we went to once and that is buffet style too so we didn't see the point as the choice was less. The snack bar beside the children's pool was not very good so don't rely on this. It served things like chicken nuggets and chips but not good. We didn't find that much of a problem after big breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Drinks were ok. Evening entertainment was poor. A free hotel coach goes daily to a very nice beach or Corfu Town.
Overall we had a great time as the weather was as you'd expect and the pools were what the grandchildren wanted - us too given the heat. But the hotel is very much a 3 star standard.

Room Tip: Not too close to reception to avoid noise at night. Near the wave pool is good.
