“Great fun!”
Reviewed 29 July 2012

I booked my trip to Aqualand through Valeros Travel excursions in Sidari and it cost 24 euros including an hours coach trip, which is good value. The water park is a lot of fun! There are 4 main areas - the kids slides, the wave pool and then 2 adult water slide areas. I went with friends so we obviously didn't use the kids part but it looked like good fun for the little ones.
The wave pool was AMAZING!! You get rubber rings to sit on so try and paddle your way to the deep end (not that deep, about a meter and a half) and wait for them to put the waves on. I've never been thrown so high by waves in all my life it was SO much fun! Don't be scared by it, my friend can't swim but he was fine in the waves and didnt fall out. We stayed in the wave pool for about an hour and did 3 waves sessions (they turn the waves on about every 15 minutes or so and it lasts for about 10 minutes each time). They vary the direction of the waves each time, the first time i ended up all the way down the shallow end, but the times i managed to stay at the deep end which is where the most fun is.
The slides are good too. The one slide area has about 9 or 10 water slides in ranging from rubber ring ones, bumpy race slides and then really fast covered up ones. Hold your breath on Kamikaze and the red/yellow one next to it, they are super fast and defintately wedgie inducing haha. The other ones in the part are fairly mellow.
The scariest rides are on the other side near the wave pool. There are 2 very steep, scary, fast looking blue rides, and then 2 covered up ones (black, and then yellow and black). The black one is completely in the dark which is so freaky and half way down you suddenly pick up momentum and you rocket down so fast your head is forced back! The yellow and black is the same only its not in the dark and is a little bit faster. As long as you lie in the right position going down (ie head back, legs and arms crossed) you dont hurt yourself. They are proper thrill seeking ones.
The 2 blue ones are probably the most intimidating ones. I finally picked up the courage to go on one of them. My heart was literally racing but i did it and it really wasn't that bad!
There's also a few swimming pools and a lazy river to float round.
There is an eating area which was the same as any other food area at a water park, and you can rent lockers for 7 euros and you get a 2 euro deposit back after that. I'd definately reccomend going!

“Overpriced and run down”
Reviewed 24 July 2012

It cost us 117 euros for a family of 5 (over 12 year olds adult price). Would have been worth the expense had we had an enjoyable time. The park has not been maintained seemingly since it was opened. White plastic loungers now grey dirty and often cracked. Loud constant thud of music so no reading or snoozing possible whilst the kids entertained themselves. Lazy river full of leaves and cigarette ends. Even the children complained that it wasn't that clean and we left after a few hours. Have been to water parks in Florida and this a poor comparison.

“Much fun!!”
Reviewed 15 July 2012

I, my husband and our 3 children (aged 5, 7 and 9) had a really fun day there yesterday! I can really recommend this. Something for everyone! A fun recreation from several days at the beach! It was clean and nice. Lifeguards at the slides made it a safe experience. Maybe someone will think it is expensive there, but I am used to norwegian prices so I think it was absolutely worth the price. We did not stay at the hotel, just visited the land for one day. We arrived 10 minutes after opening, and the children refused to leave before it was closed (we were there for 8 hours!).

“Fun for all”
Reviewed 14 July 2012

A little pricey to get in 25 euros for adults and 17 for children but the food is reasonable. Very few queues at the flumes. Plenty of sundbeds. Lockers are 3 euros with 2 deposit.

“Same as most Aqualands”
Reviewed 7 July 2012

Lots to do but not impressed with their shops for eating etc. Very expensive and not well staffed. Queues for everything which was annoying in scorching heat. Safety not at a premium either and seen several accidents whilst there including people being shunted on the shutes and children cutting their feet etc. Need to be very alert if you have young kids with you.
