Our best Holiday yet!! The pictures do not lie everything you expect and more is delivered. Staff, rooms, food and grounds are superb.
Check in was very civilised and caried out in our rooms as we were given a free glass of bubbly. I particualy enjoyed the terrace which was very well kitted out and had fabulous views of the Marina.
We tried many of the restraunts and in particular can recomend The Waterside restraunt at the suites, Tomata in the Marina, and The Artemis restraunt up at the Spa. All in all you can get anything from a very large plate of grilled meat and typical traditional greek quisine up to the top end of beatifully crafted and inspired dishes.
The Spa experience is a wonderful way to unwide and they have a wide range of treatments available carried out by very friendly and polite European staff.
The pool although not enourmous was warm a nd very well kept up with plenty of staff ready to bring you anything you might need, this was also the case on the private beach where we spent our mornings and enjoyed the sea beeze to cool us after a strenous spot of sun bathing!
I have to mention the breakfast which was second to none. The best selection i have seen anywhere on my travels and again staff were very attentive.
We will definatly return!!

Bright, comfortable suites with direct access to the beach (footsteps from white sandy beach)

Large beach with comfortable sun beds with mattresses and food and beverage service
Babe Watch service on the beach where you can leave your little one while you take a dip in the sea

Attentive and genuine staff who offer first class service; nothing is too much trouble and I would like to especially point out Kevin the hotel manager who is very visable and extremely helpful and Yannis the conceirge who was able to book us into restaurants that were full and basically solve any problems we had. Top man. Every member of staff makes you feel special.

Housekeeping service ensures that your room is spotless during your stay; cleaned twice a day

Award winning Gourmet Water Restaurant with world class food and extensive wine list
and we also used Room Service in the evening and the food was incredible.

The kids club is fantastic as it allowed my wife and I to have some quality time everyday and the children loved it. I would recommend that you book your kids into the Melissa Club before you leave because if you wait until you arrive you may find it is full. Do not risk it. The babysitters at night are great and tend to be the girls from the Melissa club so my children were very happy and already used to them.

This was my second trip and i'm so pleased to say that I wasn't disappointed and will definitely be booking up for next year.

Everything you could want from a luxury hotel in a beautiful setting.
Situated right next to the beach, the suites are well designed with excellent facilities and private terraces to sunbathe and take advantage of the first class room service.
All of the staff, led by the Manager, Kevin, are fantastic and cannot do enough for you. The food in all the restaurants in the Resort was always first rate (The hotel breakfast was something special).
We had no complaints about the prices as we never felt that we were being overcharged as the quality and service was so high.
The resort is very focussed on the child friendly aspect of its’ service and is ideal if you have young children.
We are booking to go back next year as for a young family who expect and are looking for a luxury holiday, it has everything.

We just returned from a week's holiday with friends at the Sani Asterias Suites and feel compelled to write and say it was absolutely superb in every aspect. We all work hard and live for our holidays and therfore have a very strong idea of what makes a fantastic stay - we didn't think that anything could come close to the Maldives and Parrot Cay but this is also one of the best hotels and the location is much closer to get to! The accomodation is ideal right next to the beach and the service and food is probably the best we have experienced thanks to the truly attentive manager Kevin and his staff who can't do enough for you and in a manner that is so understated that you have such a private and restful stay. To sum up why you should visit with or without children : the suites are beautifully designed with private terraces to sunbathe, the breakfast is exquisite with the most excellent french toast and eggs benedict and the beach is so large for the number of suites that you feel you are alone! We will definitely return next year!

My wife and I stayed in the Asterias Suites the first two weeks in May 2010 with our toddler (14 months old) for our honeymoon. To a degree I would agree with the comments of others on this site that this hotel is more suited to couples with babies/toddlers than those with no children. I would also suggest that older children would not really have much to do here as there aren't many entertainments.

We were delighted with our honeymoon. The accommodation was beautiful, very spacious and cleaned extremely thoroughly several times each day.

The cost of meals/drinks in the Sani resort is extremely high. However, there is a small supermarket in the marina (10 mins walk) which sells wine at very reasonable prices (1.5 litres for 5 euros) so if you don't feel like spending fortunes you can have a cozy night in, or two.

We were lucky enough to be staying on a half-board basis (which Asterias don't actually offer) which saved us a small fortune. I would strongly advise that unless you are willing to pay in the region of 20-25 euros for each main course you endeavour to stay on a half-board basis. If we went again we would certainly have to do so, even if it meant staying at one of the other hotels (Porto Sani Village would be my choice as it's the nicest of the others). The half-board package is outstanding, you can dine in any of the hotel restaurants each evening, or a choice of most of those around the marina (albeit a smaller version of their menus). The food at all was beautiful, the service sometimes a little slow for those with small children to keep amused in high-chairs. However, evening meals at two of the hotels are buffets (those in Sani Beach Hotel and Sani Beach Club) so if you need to eat at your own pace for toddlers sake then those are good options. The only hotel any distance from Asterias is Sani Beach Club which is approx 30 mins walk but as with everything else all you have to do is ask in reception and they'll take you there.

The staff can't do enough for you so if you choose to visit, have no worries - if you've forgotten anything or need anything, just ask!

The pool was very cold but as with everything else, beautiful and immaculately clean. Our baby spent periods of up to 20 minutes in there at a time and I'd guess it will only get warmer as the summer warms up.

The beach was lovely too, loads of space, a ratio of perhaps 10 available loungers to each person.

In summary, I'd certainly go again but sadly anything other than half-board would put the trip well above our budget.

I dont normally write reviews but after reading some written by some of Sani's grumpier guests who seem to have a real problem with children enjoying themselves and parents who want to have a high quality holiday WITH their children I felt compelled to write!!

Yes I am a parent of a young child and Sani's reputation for being child friendly was the reason why we booked. People should use trip advisor BEFORE they embark on a trip to see if it would suit them like we did.

Kevin the manager was fabulous as was Katerina and the other members of staff, they simply couldn't do enough for you and we truly did feel spoiled. Contrary to what some other people have written we did not feel that the balance of young families vs couples etc impacted negatively on the hotel environment. The resort certainly was not overcrowded during our stay and there seemed to plenty of room for everyone. The beach allocated to the Asterias suites was vast and on many days virtually empty. The pool area did have more young children there but was also very quiet.

This was the first time we have taken our daughter abroad and would go again in a heartbeat. Those who don't like children and want an adult only holiday book with Saga! Those who want a friendly, warm atmosphere with families and children in a fantastic location with wonderful staff, accommodation, food and facilities should seriously consider booking.

P.s I am not a yuppy mummy, my daughter is in nursery because we need 2 salaries and we don't shop in waitrose!!!!!

We have just returned from a disppointing holiday which got off to a rotten start with cancelled flights due to volcanic ash activity, and which was cut short due to a familiy issue at home.

The complex is a unique setting of luxury suites which are extremely comfortable. The attitude and helpfulness of th estaff under the direction of manager Kevin are simply superb and they do use your name whenever they can. The food is awesome and plentiful. However..........

The place was full of yuppie Mummies and screaming children. From breakfast till dusk, even till late at night in the bar, the sqwarking and shrieking was so annoying. When will these parents learn that other guests simply don't want the likes of Bella, Pheobe, Milo and Monty thrust round them all day and night! It was push chair wars on a scale I have never witnessed before!

The swimming pools were ice cold, the beach covered in thick black seaweed, and the prices of food and drink all around the complex were ridiculously expensive.

Sadly we had to leave early for reasons beyond our control - they were not sypathetic in any way and not only insisted we pay their cancellation charges in full, but even tried to overcharge us as we left!

I am not sure where this place is marketing itself. It has a lot going for it but frankly it needs a rethink as to it's strategy.

If you want a quiet break - forget it! For young familes - I can see the attraction. It is clean and safe and comfortable - at a price!
