Hotel located , 8-10 minutes with taxi , outside Chania . Nice villagelike hotel with alinclusive . The garden surrounding the houses is nice . Food was very good and varied . The hotel was newly renovated but they must " gear up " on the cleaning if it is to stay nice . Staff was nice and friendly . All in all a nice stay and I would recommed this hotel .

We visited Althea Village some time ago but Greece and this hotel just stolen our hearts.... Basics rooms but in really good size. There was enough space for me, my husband and our child. I really liked the food and drinks- lovely staff and great service. We though to back there this year bit finally decided to go to Rhodes- I hope our hotel will be as good as Althea. Thank you for amazing memories- we will definitely back to this hotel in the future.

we have never stayed in a complex like this before and it made a nice change from hotels and apartments.lovely setting.there is a good vibe about this place.gardens.pools.etc.rooms are nicely appointed comfy bed.enough room for your things.the dining area is a good size.and good quality food always ! lots of choice.drinks are self served.the orange juice is the powered kind.although the island is blessed with orange trees.some basic snacks are available between meals.the bar is a relaxed setting over looking the pool.dining room staff very pleasant they all look happy at work.there is no adult entertainment here.most of the holiday makers are from north Europe I think they like things quiet.which suited us to we had a lovely relaxed holiday.our only gripe conserning noise were the cleaners.they were annoying every day! we suggest you get some do not disturb signs printed.i got fed up with them coming in the room early most days, privacy please.and then they would bang and crash about all morning in ear shot.this included shouting conversation competitions from the furthest rooms to each other.not good ! any way.as regards to outside not a lot going on to be honest.i think its annas across the road.the music is ok but the place itself is a flea pit ! better to go in to town much more to do.try the fun train aswell good value and lots of lovely crete to see.apart from our little whinge we enjoyed our break.

Room Tip: all rooms are the same

Arrived on 26th of may from Birmingham England. We have had 2 weeks of pure bliss , All the staff from management to cleaners can't do enough for you , Nikos who runs the restaurant is a top bloke and very welcoming. our cleaner Mimoza prides herself on keeping your room and surroundings immaculate , ,everything is very well maintained and spotless, very polite and friendly staff. We stayed in the new althea suites across the road from the main hotel and it was excellent. Very modern, lovely pool area and surroundings. The food was excellent with staff always willing to help. The entertainment staff were very friendly, leoni, raimond, simon and aga....what a fantastic group of people, always friendly and full of smiles and enthusiasm. They put so much effort into what they do and are always open to new ideas and work together really well as a team. The hotel has three pools and none of them overcrowded, the bar men are gents ,the garden areas are stunning, very well laid out. The beach is only a short distance where you have a choice of a few in the area. The main bus into chania is just down the road from the hotel and runs very frequently. Chania is well worth a visit with its harbour and fantastic maze of streets with lots of shops, cafes and bars dotted around. We would definitely come back again, we have had such a fantastic time

Fantastic little place, staff could not be more helpful, well appointed rooms, very comfortable beds and showers that will blast you to bits. Food an excellent variety, if you cannot find anything to eat, have a look at yourself (fussy). The sweets are a particular delight, not for the slimming world clientele. Two great pools, never too crowded, able to do a serious workout without disturbance. All inclusive drinks offer was extensive and of a good quality. Situated 600 metres from the beach and a number of beaches to choose from, some in all fairness were rather windy but saves on exfoliation later in the day. Bus links to Chania are excellent and run late into the evening, cost around 2euros return - well worth a visit. Local bar/café on the main street, shows all sports including EPL. Fantastic value and overall a great trip.
