Just had 10 days island hopping and our stay here with two children was by far the best. We arrived with a sick child and the wonderful hotel staff had a doctor to our room in no time. Best value we found, best setting, kind and helpful staff and delicious breakfast! All agreed we would love to come back.

Room Tip: Our two rooms faced the sea. Gorgeous.

I found the Ammos Hotel the perfect place for a holiday with my parents and my active toddler. Not only did we receive a very warm welcome at 7am but also an early check in (great for my son's nap). Delicious breakfast lunch and dinner. Stylish decor and wonderful service - the staff just can't do enough for you. Even hot milk 'babycinos' delivered to our beach chairs for my son to enjoy while we had our coffees. The beach is one of the cleanest if not the cleanest free beach I have seen in Greece with many beach toys provided by the hotel. My parents are keen ocean swimmers and enjoyed the swimming here - Dad even swam around a nearby tiny island. Nikos is there for you from the first email till you sadly say goodbye. As we live in Athens I really hope we can return again and again. A beautiful hotel to watch my son explore and enjoy his surroundings without me having to say 'no don't touch' as I seem to on other holidays..

Room Tip: Bottom floor Garden view rooms great for young children to just step off onto the grass without havi...

Where to start!? This hotel is more than that and is absolutely unique.
To be succinct:
1. Perfect for any kind of guest: couple, single, family...
2. Fabulous location and beach for swimming, walking, lounging.
3. Staff and their client-focussed service is EXCEPTIONAL- I have traveled the world, all star levels and this place is beyond compare when helping you feel welcome, cared for and comfortable.
4. Food: DELICIOUS. The breakfast, especially, is different/varied and yummy, yummy, yummy.
5. Spa: onsite for massages and if you need more, there's another spa recommended up the street - 3 min walk.
6. 100 metres away from shopping for staples and other...
7. The owner, and manager, Nikos is a gem and had incredible/thorough suggestions for anything we needed, including tour guides, restaurant ideas, excursions, etc.
8. The design reflects a vision of simply stated luxury without an ounce of pretension, eclectic style and charm, clean lines and freshness.
8. Value.

WE WILL RETURN!

We stayed at Ammos Hotel for a week in June 2013. I can´t praise it enough, the place is perfect it´s got it all! Lovely Setting, beach on the doorstep, 15 minutes from lovely Chania town, beautiful furnished rooms, amazing Food, top Service, extremely helpful staff! We were there with our 2 small children and the Hotel makes sure everyone is comfortable speciallywith Kids going a bit bonkers! The Hotel is faboulous, very chic and friendly but with a very relaxed atmosphere. The pool is also great, they´ve got all the toys and also a playroom with a childminder ! We can´t wait to go back, we loved the place , thanks Nikos and everyone else for a perfect Holiday!

We had 5 nights here and loved it - the best beach hotel we found in Crete. It is beautiful - stylish and spotless. The staff are absolutely amazing - without exception so friendly and helpful. Niko was extremely helpful, right from the first email - and throughout our stay, with suggestions and perfect, easy to follow directions. The restaurant was excellent and we found ourselves going back for every meal. The beach is lovely and there were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ammos Hotel.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms on the upper floor are the best.

Hotel itself is excellent. It located far enough from road and just near the sea. It’s boutique, and thus calm, quiet and specious.
Hotel is very comfortable and stylish. Everybody here is cordial and hospitable. Reception has a book of recommended services (restaurants, SPAs, excursions, etc). Some treatments (like massage) are available right in the hotel.
Rooms are excellent, furnitured simply, with taste and style. Each has a fridge, small kitchen and balcony.
All the territory covered with free Wi-Fi (on a beach signal could be unstable on some devices).
There is a very good restaurant on a territory. It has meal of the day which could give some variety for a long stay.
Hotel territory is very good, with a small fish pond, swimming pool and children playroom. Playroom has two complimentary hours of care on a weekdays. Hotel territory and staff is very child-friendly.
Stay in a hotel is very comfortable, and there are some other interesting options.
You could rent a car (hotel can assist and you’ll get it to the hotel parking next day) which allows you to reach some taverns, sights and beautiful natural places (recommendations and maps are available on reception).
Nearest town Chania has ancient center, shops, taverns and park. It could be reached by bus (a bit more 1 euro) or taxi (about 8 euro). It also has wonderful children café μικροφυιες (Mikrofyies) which has a lot of various toys to entertain children.
The only pity about Ammos hotel is neighborhood with narrow sidewalks and busy street you need to use each time you want to leave hotel and reach park, supermarket or ancient town Chania.
It should be noted that park is not so comfortable, only road it has is occupied by some car traffic, and there are no other space for walks except pure forest.
However, hotel is highly recommended to stay with young children.

Room Tip: I'd prefer garden view rooms, they are father from a pool and thus quieter.
