On arrival we were offered coffee and cakes, which was lovely (and unexpected) after a long travel time. Our baby son wasnt on the paper work from our travel agent but there were no issues to get a cot with bedding and a high chair, which was sorted out immediately. We are a family of four who enjoyed the complimenatry fruit, raki and soft drinks in the apartment. We found the appartments very central to the beaches, shops and restraurants and were happy without a car. The apartments were very clean and serviced every day. We required a doctor for our son and an english speaking doctor was organised by the owner very quickly and efficiently. Our son also had a 1st Birthday in Crete and was given a birthday cake by the owner, this was lovely and very unexpected. We found the owners very thoughtful and a pleasure to spend time with,. We would return for another stay. Very well equipped kitchens - we managed to be very self surffcient and enjoyed our stay immensly.

Room Tip: Appartment 2 is ground floor, great for families, across from the gaden/swings.

Beautiful small resort, ideal for families. 5 minutes walk to the beach, and a short bus ride to the center of beautiful Chania. Tidy and clean rooms. And there is even a small private exhibition of old classic motor cycles!

Myself, my husband and my son stayed here at the end of of October and it was great. The owner couldn't do enough for us, the place was spotlessly clean and set in a beatiful garden with a swimming pool. It was easily accessable to some beautiful beaches perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Although we were self catering and near to large supermarkets we ate out at nearby tavernas and little beach bars. With easy access to Chania it was a great find and I definitely aim to return there again.

We chose this place specifically because it's quiet, right near a beach and didn't want to drive around or party the whole time, we were taking a break from London! Agii Apostoli is a quiet little place with only a tiny handful of tavernas and no bars within walking distance except for a little beach bar that was actually quite nice and full of locals which is always good to see. We got exactly what we wanted by booking this place. We got to the apartments quite late but the owner was waiting for us and offered us coffee on arrival. She showed us the apartment and then left us to it but was always completely approachable with any request. She had provided coffee, sugar, water, fruit and fresh flowers. We were very impressed with the apartment (we had a mezzanine) as it was so spacious, clean, well kitted out and so close to everything in Agii Apostoli. I'm torn between wanting to keep this place a secret and recommending it really highly! I would disagree with a review below regarding the local tavernas. We personally had a better experience at Pergola than at Andreas. Both gave a warm welcome and sold pretty much exactly the same menu but I got the impression that Andreas had run out of quite a lot of stuff being near the end of the season. Pergola couldn't have wanted to please us more and were more engaging with us generally. Avoid this area if you want buzz but for a relaxing holiday with everything within a 5 minute walk this place is perfect. Chania old town is easily accessible by bus, the bus stop is a couple of minutes walk away and it takes around 15 minutes to get to the old town which is very picturesque but more touristy than I had hoped for. Was nice for a change though and I'm pretty sure much nicer than Platanias! A thumbs up from me.

My parents (a mature couple) stayed at Sorta apartments for 11 night between September 14 and September 25 2013.
The welcome was very warm, the hostess greeted us with coffee and home-made cheesecake. In the room we had a big fruit basket and water, coffee and sugar. Quick check-in and explanation of all facilities and appliances in our room. We had a mezzanine (two-level) room (number 8). The room has a very big terrace, independent from neighbors. Good sound-proofing. In addition to air conditioning (at three spots) there was a practical ceiling ventilator. Kitchen is good, even with sponges and soap, but there are yet not enough pots and similar stuff. There are two toilets in the room. Beds somewhat short and narrow, with one sheet for two - not very comfortable. Mattresses quite comfortable though. The hostess was responsive to any inquiry. On a birthday we got a surprise cake with congratulations - very tasty!
The location is very good: several good beaches nearby, as well as supermarkets (3'4 minutes away) and a bus stop (2 minutes). Buses run every 10-17 minutes, in 15 minutes you are in the historic center of Chania (last stop). The last bus is at midnight. One beach we found particularly good: small, closed, with warm water. Close by there is a pine park, with jogging lanes and a children playground. All the pictures correspond to the reality.
Drawbacks: bad soundproofing of the bathroom in the room.

Modern design with air conditioning, nice outdoor areas (nice pool, small garden with vines) Just outside Chania so easy access there for the evenings and well located to explore the western side of the island. Local restaurants easily at hand (Go to ANDREAS rather than Pergola - and go for the mixed main for 2.... great value for cash and more of a local accent than the excessively touristy competition) as are the 4 local beaches that are good quality and clean. We had a LOVELY stay, and the owners were great. Very accommodating and ready to help out with anything you need. THANKYOU!!!

Far superior area than Platanias which is literally just tourist trap after tourist trap.

Room Tip: Choose one of the upstairs rooms ... they seemed to be a bit airier. Just an impression.

I stayed at Sorta apartments (unit 7) with a friend for four weeks this summer (2013) and couldn't be happier about selecting this property! Our apartment had a loft style bedroom with two double beds and a sectional sofa in the downstairs living space which also serves as two twin beds, one full and one half bath and a fully functional kitchen. Additional rollaway twin beds are available. The decor is modern and clean.

This is a family-owned property. We were welcomed upon arrival (very early in the morning) by the proprietress and treated as if we were visiting family! Everyone at Sorta was attentive and friendly during our stay. We enjoyed the good company of our hosts, other guests and many treats! They have grapevines growing near the path and offered the ripe fruit to us throughout our stay (which we very much enjoyed). The property owners made a determined effort to accommodate our every request.

This property is ideally located near (easy walk) the beach, two grocery stores, many tavernas/bakeries, city bus to Chania and Platanias in addition to several scenic walking routes. The bus is perfect (and cheap!) for making your way to old town Chania but it is also walkable if you enjoy that (less than 5km) - it was an easy and enjoyable walk for us. You can also arrange for bus/tram tours of Crete just around the corner.

Sorts apartments are great for families with children, we were traveling with a 5-month old baby and several older children stayed with their parents during our time there. We requested a baby cot/crib and highchair for our baby traveler and both were waiting for us in the apartment.

Sorta has a nice pool, separate lawn area (including playground equipment in a portion of the area). Each apartment boasts a balcony or patio with simple furniture suitable for outdoor dining or just enjoying the lush landscape.

I really can't say enough about how wonderful this property is. I'm already planning my next visit.
