We enjoyed our week in the Yakinthos. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff work very hard for many hours and are always helpful to the guests. The hotel has a pool, but the beach is also very close. It is easy to get a bus to Chania.

Room Tip: The road by the hotel is very busy, even at night, so it is better to have a room facing the po

We were amazed by the friendly staff, clean and beatiful hotel, which was close to the sea and offered amazing breakfast. Everyone was trying really hard and we had an amazing time!

Just got back yesterday following our second stay at the Yakinthos (we were there June 2016). I'm pleased to report the hotel is just a good as ever. The hotel is really clean and the housekeeping in the bedrooms is first class. We paid for the air con as the temperature was around 30 degrees for the fortnight. All the staff are lovely and very friendly. Breakfast is self serve and has a varied selection to suit everyone and they provide a good menu for anyone wanting lunch. We took advantage of their free pool towel service too. The pool is good with plenty of sunbeds and never too busy as the nearby beaches are first class - nice soft sand and you can walk out into the sea for about 100 yards before you get out of your depth. Lots of good restaurants close by and the bus into Chania town centre stops just near the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel strongly enough - it's one that we'll definitely be going back to.

Just returned from a ten day stay. The hotel is lovely in a good location, not far from a lovely beach. I was in room 215 overlooking the back of the hotel. The room was very cool so not really a need for aircon. The only negative was the shower although plenty of hot water i had to hold the shower head i tried to put it in the holder on the wall which was quite difficult as it was a bit too high to reach and as the shower and tray is very shallow it flooded the bathroom. However this has not detracted from the 5 stars i have rated as overall this is an excellent place to stay.

The beach wraps around several different coves to choose from. Sunbeds vary in price. Bus stop across the road from the hotel to get the bus into chania buy your bus tickets from the supermarket next door to the hotel €1.20 my advice is to buy for both ways the lady in the shop is very friendly.

Eating out there are some very good tavernas close buy Piato, Orexi and Zygos there are others that you have to search for or a trip i to chania where there are lots to choose from.

Chania is lovely lots to explore, harbour, lighthouse etc. Lots of shops and small alleyways to explore. A trip to the palace of knossos is worthwhile.

Overall a wonderful holiday i would say that as a female travelling alone i felt completey safe walking around on my own day or night.

Room Tip: Room 215 good location as room keeps cool only negative was the shower. the front of the hotel rooms overlook a very busy road.
