George was always very helpful. He provided us with several very good recommendations - car rental, restaurants and places to visit. The restaurant ELIA in particular was excellent. We forgot to bring a wire to charge our iPhone, and George was generous enough to lend us his. He also helped us send a postcard. We are very grateful for everything.

The room is quite spacious. It can be a little bit noisy at night because walls are quite thin, but that depends on what kind of neighbour you get. There is a sink in the room and you can find all the cooking utensils you need in the cupboard. The bathroom is new and clean, but the shower could be a bit stronger. We had a TV (BBC is included, yay) and wifi was quite good. Beds were comfortable, which is very important for good sleep ;-)

The hotel is not located in the city center, so you have to take a bus for 20 minutes from the center of Chania. It can be an advantage for people who enjoy a bit of quietness.

Strongly recommended to visitors to Chania :-)

It was great time!!! Hotel is really worth to stay in. George - the owner - gave us all information we needed to visit Crete. He also recommended some places, so from the first day we know what to do and where. According to our group of six it was truly good holidays, especially beacuse of the hotel where we could rest after busy days and nights.

The Niriis hotel was a great experience. I was backpacking through europe and was on a very tight budget, and my friends and I picked the Niriis hotel, due to its cheap price. It was not what I expected at all! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and all the appliances we needed to cook. Close walk to 3-4 beaches and 10-15 minutes from the center of Chania. The owner, George, was extremely, EXTREMELY helpful. Assisted us with our 6 days in Crete and made it worthwhile. Also hooked us up with a connection to a local greek restaurant. 5 star hotel for a cheap price! Thanks George!

Thank you so much for commenting on Niriis Hotel!
At Niriis Hotel, besides the private rooms, there are two dormitory rooms that our young guests, mostly backpackers, usually prefer, due to the low cost. There they have the chance to interact and meet other guests, and why not organise exursions and nights out!

Thank you once again, for tking the time to comment on Niriis!
Best Regards

Summary:
- At a price of €9 a night after the booking fee, this hotel is a steal. George, the owner, was above and beyond expectations by supplying our group with knowledge, suggestions, and up-to-date events happening around Crete. He answered any and all questions and was very thorough in helping us, even if he had other things to do. He puts his hotel customers first, and this alone made the trip worth it. The icing on top were the rooms and location. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beyond what you would expect for the price. The location was nearby the supermarket, local shops, and best of all, a couple beaches to lay out on with active visitors.

Let's break down the negatives:

- WiFi does not reach the upstairs rooms, meaning you have to go near the lobby to get WiFi. This was the main issue we had with the hotel, although the positives simply outweighed this inconvenience for us.
- There is no stove in the 4-bedroom kitchen area, which may be normal for Greece.
- The shower has a curtain but no divider from the toilet and sink area, leaving the bathroom floor wet after showers.

Now the positives:

- We each spent €9 a night to stay in the hotel after the booking fee, which is the best deal we found.
- We had access to another hotels pool nearby, although we had to buy a drink if we wanted to stay past an hour.
- The location is right near active beaches with great views.
- Street signs made it easy to find the hotel, and parking was available for our car rental.
- The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.
- The deck off the room was great for outside eating and relaxing.
- There were small shops nearby and the supermarket was within walking distance.
- The hotel was clean and professional, with a cleaning lady to supply new towels and clean the bathroom.

Owner (George)

- George was the absolute gem of this hotel, and for good reason.
- He invested much of his time and energy to make sure we were situated in Greece.
- He supplied us with a detailed map and made plenty of notes for things we could do.
- He invited us out to concerts and kept us up-to-date on any events happening.
- He lives in the hotel and was always available in the hotel lobby or by cell-phone.
- He knows Spanish, French, English, and Greek fluently; possibly one or two other languages.
- He was always interested in what we were doing and came across as a genuine friend.
- He was ready to answer any question we had or go out of his way to find an answer.

If I ever go back to Chania, Crete I will look for George and gladly stay at his hotel again.

The rooms are nice and clean with just renovated bathrooms! It's in a location that's right next to the beach, close to other hotels, and a short 10 minute bus ride to Chania Old Town. The owner, George, is extremely helpful and will answer any questions you have. My friend and I walked in with no plans made in advance and George quickly gave us a thorough explanation of what to see, where to go, and all the logistics. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

I just visited Niriis with my sister for a short vacation and definitely recommend it!!! The hotel is right by the beaches, restaurants, and convenience stores. The pool you can use is really nice and close by. The rooms were clean and it was nice to have a fridge, dishes, and cooking stuff. It was very easy to get into town by bus... The stop is a short walk away and if you want to taxi back late it's only around 8 euros. BEST reason to stay here is George!!!! The man is always working and around to help and answer questions. He even called car rental companies for us and checked bus times. If you want a stress free vacation and the best advice stay here!
It was a little noisy some mornings but it didn't bother me. No fitness center but I wasn't going to a gym on vacation anyways! Especially when you can run/bike/swim outside!
