“A great get away option”
Reviewed 26 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Having stayed here before we knew what to expect but you do forget how peaceful and comfortable the accommodation is.
The hardest part of the holiday is leaving but this is cushioned by knowing that we will return next year.
Though we stayed 2 weeks we did not manage to fit in all the places that we would have liked to visit so they are on the list for next year.
Thank you Gill for sharing your property,

cosy riverside cottage with lovely views in every direction you look, great outdoor area
excellent evening fishing,(even has an outdoor loo in small shed!)grab Paul the river taxi guy
to take you and your luggage to the cottage.(usually find him near potter bridge).tree house in garden for kids to use as a pirate lookout.warm, well appointed and tranquil
chuck 5 or 6 good size balls of groundbait in before you go off to the pub for dinner, come back, cast out a cage feeder and catch bream all evening!! arrived back today and have booked again for july 2017! been staying at various riverside properties in potter heigham twice a year for 7 years or so and this has been the most peaceful, for you fisherman out there, this cottage is upstream of the old bridge which cuts out 80% of boat traffic as they can't pass under the low bridge, less noise, less disturbance, more fish!!

“excellent stay”
Reviewed 22 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Loved this cottage. Location is spot on been close to village and lovely views both front and rear. Everything you need in the cottage to make the stay comfy. Fishing was good and bigger fish caught after dark. Went with my teenage son and we loved the weeks stay there. We met the owners and they were lovely people with information about the area if you need any. I would definatly stay at this cottage again.

“Great place to stay on the broads”
Reviewed 15 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This was a great place to stay in the broads seeing all the boats and very friendly swans my one tip would be get the river taxi to take you to the little house as the walk to the house even with the trolley it's a fair way with all your baggage but trust me it is well worth the walk

Management Response

Thank you for the review, Jeff; although we are only five minutes walk from the car park, we do recommend taking the river taxi when you arrive with your luggage and supplies - it is a lovely and relaxing way to arrive! Gill

“Comfortable and good value.”
Reviewed 13 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The little house is in a good location, being convenient for the shops and cafes in Potter Heigham and yet far enough away to be peaceful. It has pleasing views from the front, and a beautiful view from the rear garden, over the river.
Being able to hire a dayboat from nearby and moor it at the cottage was a bonus.
The house itself was clean and comfortable, and the little kitchen, though compact, was well-equipped.
