“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 16 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Craig was there to greet us on arrival. The accommodation is clean and welcoming with just about everything you would need for your break. It is in a perfect location for exploring the the coast and the broads. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Thank you Craig.

Thanks so much for leaving such a lovely review. We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, despite the slightly chillier weather during your break. We would of course love to welcome you back to the cottage...and we'd be sure to ask the sun to remember to pop his best hat on next time.
All the best, Craig and Tara.

Hi Sherie.
Firstly thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our cottage. We are very pleased that you found our cottage both cosy and in a beautiful setting and that you found lots to do on your stay. That's great news.
We are however disappointed to read the second half of your review. We did in fact go to great lengths and care to insure that our photographs and description gave a true representation of the property (showing photos from many angles, including one or two from inside the cottage looking towards the main house), so we are saddened to discover that you felt this wasn't the case. We shall review this and continue to gain feedback from guests.

With regards to the outdoor spaces. The garden in the first picture is the "shared garden between properties" and each property then has its own "small courtyard overlooking adjacent fields" as mentioned in the description.

Being dog owners ourselves, it is important to us that our four-legged visitors also enjoy their holiday, so we are of course disappointed to read that you feel you did not have enough space. However, if we had been made aware at the time of booking that you intended to bring an untrained puppy in addition to the doggie guest which you had told us about, we would have discussed this in greater detail with you and, if appropriate, we certainly would have looked into ways of creating a space with which you were happy. We hope this didn't cause too much of an inconvenience and hope that like our previous canine guests, your dogs felt spoilt for choice with the country lanes, beaches and beautiful open spaces on your doorstep. We hope that they were able to have a really good run and puff each day!

In terms of shade in the courtyard and its suitability for a BBQ, whilst the property is indeed tree-lined, this area should still catch full sun in the early afternoon. We have however become aware that the trees have had a growth spurt in the last month and already begun to address this. The shared garden does get good sun for a good proportion of the day and visitors are more than welcome to take advantage of this. In addition to addressing the trees, will also add additional citronella candles to the courtyard just in case there has been an unexpected increase in any flying visitors. Thank you for pointing this out. Nobody likes a buggy gatecrasher.

We do again thank you for your feedback and apologise that you perhaps did not enjoy your stay as much as our previous reviewers.

All the best,
Craig and Tara

“Pure Delight!!”

Due to wedding commitments locally we didn't have time to explore as much as we would have liked but the location is absolutely beautiful - picture postcard perfect - and this means that we shall have to return!!!

The accommodation has absolutely everything you could wish for a short stay and is fresh, clean and sparkling and so artistic (look out for the anchor coathooks in the bedroom!) and there are stunning views from every window.

Our hosts were enable to meet us on arrival but kept in close contact by email and phone and urged us to ring if we needed anything. A keysafe meant that we could get in with absolute ease on arrival. Craig caught up with us soon after his return and was thrilled that we were so happy.

We had a fabulous (all-too-short) time in this gorgeous place and shall be recommending it to everyone we know. The owners of Stone Cottage Bungalow have much to be proud of - congratulations!!

Have just come to end of a 5-day stay at Stonecottage. Warmly welcomed by owner Craig. Delightful little bungalow, spotlessly clean, compact and airy. Our dog settled immediately!! This was a real home from home where we were able to easily reach some charming local resorts/places of interest while being able to also relax in cottage. Weather perfect, which complemented the view from the little private garden to the horses and other wildlife (Egyptian geese)!! in the adjacent field. Would certainly recommend this idyllic little spot.

Sincere thanks for your lovely review. We're so pleased that our little cottage played a part in what sounds like a very happy holiday. We're also delighted that the local wildlife (including the Egyptian Geese) put on a show for you. We did ask them nicely.
Thanks again, Craig & Tara, Stone Cottage.

Very clean accommodation in pleasant surroundings. Nice view from rear of accommodation, quiet private location. Everything is provided for in this modern accommodation. The surrounding areas are nice, including the beaches at winterton and gorleston on sea, especially for dog walking. All of us enjoyed our relaxing weekend break including Ted the dog.
