Great hotel - sparkling white and clean. Not in the village, but with a view of it, and a 5-minute walk away - seeing as the young folk party all night in the village, we consider this a plus.... Bar and small restaurant - very helpful, friendly staff - Stavros and Elizabeth are happy to chat and tell you where to go and what to see. Very reasonably priced - A/C and free wireless internet. Would stay here anytime......

we spent 2 weeks in greece and had planned to just stay overnight at ios before traveling to santorini. due to complications we stayed 2 nights and 3 days. it was the most pleasant surprise of the entire trip. the hotel was one of the most attractive we have ever stayed in. it is relatively new , with a great pool ,large bedrooms with balonies, a fridg and safe with storage for clothing. we paid 22 euros per person per room. that is approximately 55 dollars. it does not include breakfast but there are many good bakeries nearby and a mini market about 150 meters down the road. the views from the hotel are great. The owner , Stavros Drakos, was extremely helpful with great recommendations for restaurants. Lord Bryons is a must. Owned by an american married to a greek , the quality of the food was exceeded only by the warmth and charm of the owner and her staff. we could have eaten there every meal. the owner of the hotel arranged for a rental car for two days. since it was off season we only paid 30 euros for two days. the old town is great to explore with wonderful views of the harbor and mountains. there are two hills with many of the shops in between. one hill with a church at the top is behind the hotel and is an easy climb up the stone steps. the other with 5 old beautiful churches is a little more challenging but very doable. both offer grear views for taking pictures and just looking. the shops in town were interesting with typical tourist goods and a few a little more unique. prices were reasonable for the shops and restaurants. we drove to the paleokastro (old castle) where we walked up a long but well cared for path to the top of a small mountain. on the top was an old church and the ruins of a fort. however the view was incredible and you can see most of the islands in this group. another great photo opportunity. or just a beautiful place to be. we ran into a goat herder with over 50 goats who all had bells. we first heard them on the road and then watched them cross the fields to change feeding areas. the sound and sight were memorable. we also went to the windmill area and saw the new ampitheatre which was beautiful. the view from it was incredible. we also went to 3 beaches all of which had good sand and were not crowded. the water was a little cold but the privacy was worth it. be sure to ask stavros for suggesstions. he is a native of ios and has all the good information. when we had to wait till later in the day to catch the ferry he allowed us to keep one room to store luggage and take a shower if we needed it. and at no extra charge. he also picked us up from the port and drove us down to the port when we left.that is included in the cost. he even refused to take a tip. the only downside is the walk back to the hotel requires you to walk up a steep driveway. we are in our 60's and did it several times a day. you also can drive the rental up and down if yopu have a problem. there is parking at the hotel. altogether it was a most pleasant surprise. i am told that in late june to middle of sept. it is very crowded with wild and crazy youths. offseason it is simply a beautiful and affordable place to be. thank you stavros for a great stay.

I am in love with the island and my partner and I have been back many times. We always stay at Lofos and recommend the hotel to all of our friends and family. Lofos Village hotel is exceptional value, extremly clean, perfect location (with views of the city centre from the well protected pool area - and a perfect distance to walk home from the big nights out!), great pool & pool bar but most importantly wonderful Staff. The staff at lofos are so friendly and welcoming and truly make your stay in Ios one that you will remember for ever.

Impossible to say anything bad about this place.

Service. Exceptional! The staff there were fantastic and friendly and you never had to feel bad to ask anything. They truly love the island and even more sharing the love with you as a guest.

Location. Wow! When we saw the photos on the internet we didn’t feel it did it any justice, as the view was exceptional. The hotel is stationed on top of a hill (almost on the peak) looking directly at IOS town centre without any obstructions.

Rooms. Clean, nice, modern and value for money!

What else is there, is not only a hotel where you will enjoy to stay, but is also an experience as you get to meet some lovely people. Next time we go, we will definately go there again!

Since 2004 when we first visited Lofos Village we keep coming back every year...We are almost obcessed with the "Lofos spirit". The location and the view are almost the best in Chora since it is only a few minutes away from the center. The rooms are fully equipped with everything needed to have a great summertime.Yet, Lofos Village greatest advantages are the pool and the friendly staff - the owner in particular!!

Lofos hotel is a great place to stay when in Ios, i liked it so much when i stayed there in 2006 (14 nights), that i stayed there again in 2008 (5 nights). The location is great for those enjoying a night out and is very close to several restaurants. It also has a great little bar and pool area, and the owner Stavros is the man! Met some great friends while staying here.
