We spent two nights there in April and were welcomed warmly by the owners. The first night we were the only guests and were served the evening meal in the dining room while the owners were also having dinner. My husband speaks Italian so it was great to be able to chat.
Our room was nicely decorated, impeccably clean and the window opened to a magnificent view of the valley. It was a little chilly so we asked for some heat and were immediately accommodated. This is a peaceful location with only a bar and small trattoria in the village. The convento provides breakfast and will prepare an evening meal on request.
This is not a place for someone with handicaps or difficulty walking upstairs. The rooms are on the second floor accessed by the original deep stone stairs. A car is necessary and there is ample parking outside the convento.
We enjoyed our short visit and appreciated the welcome of the hosts and the simple quiet of the location, particularly after a long flight and drive.
