We stayed as a family of 4 in the apartment for 2 nights as part of a 4 week Europe trip.
Locanda della Luna is a unique experience and one not to be missed. Far away from the crowds, chrome and glass is the real Italy and this is one place you can experience it.
The apartment is located in the original olive mill and is rustic but modern at the same time. I really liked the open shower with brick floor.
The pool is a blessing in the Italian summer, surrounded by olive trees it certainly is a special place.
Breakfast is interesting with very large coffee cups, cakes, fresh bread loaf toast, scrambled eggs and fresh juice. Products of Turchi Farm are available to buy in the breakfast/reception area.
There is a restaurant also which was full both nights with locals enjoying the fine delights of this outdoor restaurant. With local wine by the jug or glass and an interesting menu of fine local produce, makes for an enjoyable evening.
This location is the real Italy, so do not expect English to be freely spoken or understood here (reception excepted).
I felt in many ways I had slipped back into an older, simpler time. ......You will not forget Locanda della Luna, I know we certainly remember our time there fondly.
