We came for the Sagra della Castagna (chestnut), and the hotel was very close to one of the best parts of the festival. The room was okay, but very noisy. We could hear breakfast being prepped in the morning and people talking from the other parts of the hotel.
The hall outside the room had a strange smell, like a macelleria (meat store), but the room and breakfast area were fine.
When we arrived, we were shown are room and then the proprieters disappeared. This was nice in that we were left alone, but it would have been better to have a chance to ask about the upcoming festival or for good places to eat. The other days, we spoke with the owners and they were very friendly and were eager to help us practice our Italian.
