All our party were of the same opinion . The staff could not have been more helpful and courteous throughout our 3 night stay . Even produced picnic for all , with ice !

General manager extremely helpful in sorting bookings and room allocations.
Chef produced consistently excellent quality at all meals .

Returning next year , without hesitation

Stayed 3 nights Sept on a special deal. Good and attentive service, nice bar food, breakfasts one of the best ever. Nice double room (No 51) with extra easy chair provided and lovely first floor view over the beach from the bay window. Felpham was a lovely village attached to Bognor, nice and quiet, good pub and a lovely resting-hole for us

Room Tip: first floor room 51, lovely views and oveer the beach

Just returned from the Beachcroft having spent 3 nights on bed, breakfast and dinner basis. We had booked a superior room which was located on the second floor. The room was rather small and not "superior" in our view having very dated furniture and mismatched pictures on the walls although we did have a fantastic sea view. The bathroom was lovely with a corner bath with a powerful shower over and always had an abundance of hot water. Must add too the room was very quiet and we slept well. The staff in the hotel were very nice, special thanks must go to the restaurant staff, always smiling and nothing too much trouble for them, obviously happy in their jobs. Breakfast was lovely, food always tasty and hot and dinner too was very nice. We did enjoy our stay, had a few minor gripes but nothing is perfect and would certainly return.

Middle aged couple who stayed at the Beachcroft for two nights last week. We wanted a couple of relaxing days away by the sea and the Beachcroft seemed ideal. Location was brilliant and although the car park was small, we parked easily. Nevertheless, the ghastly furniture in the reception area was shocking! Wooden rainbow chairs and tiny tables made it look more like an old peoples common room rather than a hotel! This needs to be change as it is a real turn off! Bit let down as well by the slightly patronising manner of the blonde receptionist, especially as we had to wait for her to come inside from smoking her cigarette! However, the brunette receptionist the following day was very friendly. We were pleased with the room, it was comfortable, and has obviously been recently renovated. We had a lovely view of the sea as well. Breakfast was lovely, very tasty food with friendly service. Although we didn't eat dinner at the hotel, we did have drinks in the bar. Service was great, especially from Dan the restaurant supervisor. During breakfast and in the evening he was friendly, welcoming and very efficient, even during very busy periods. Nothing was too much trouble! We enjoyed relaxing in the pool and sitting in the garden out the front. Although not perfect, we had a relaxing two days away.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review online. I apologise if you found one of our team slightly patronising, I will have a discussion with the operative concerned. I am however pleased to hear that you found most of the team friendly.

I will pass your comments on to Dan, this will be a real boost for him as he has not been a supervisor for long!

Unfortunately the rainbow chairs are here to stay, we invested in 28 of them and new coffee tables only last week to increase the seating capacity of our reception area.

We hope that you will find time to come back and visit the hotel again in the future.

Yours Sincerely

Did a late booking here with my daughter and grandchildren on the Bank holiday weekend. Stayed in executive double with extra bed. A very comfortable room with usual en suite facilities. We didn't make use of the indoor pool as the weather was so good but it looked great. Friendly staff and an excellent breakfast menu. Plenty of variety and plenty to eat. A very pleasant stay here. Only downside is there is no lift.

The family and I were very late booking holiday this year and had extreme difficulty finding anywhere half decent to accommodate mum, dad, son and daughter and have parking for our family car.

We have stayed at other Best Western hotels in the past and were drawn to the Beachcroft partly because of the name. We always like Best Western hotels as they have consistently high service and reputation. We were not disappointed.

We were very fortunate to find this hotel was able to accommodate us for a two week holiday in August. After carrying out much research online – including the Best Western website itself – we telephoned the hotel directly to make our own booking. As we paid for our booking entirely in advance we were able to agree a deal.

>> One tip here – I heard some stories of other people booking on various websites for this hotel and then being disappointed for some reason. My advice is to do what I did – carry out your own research, decide your prices then ring the hotel to agree terms and conditions and pay them directly.

Not only did the Beachcroft have all facilities we were looking for but also included a decent sized (free) car park and a bathing / swimming pool free of charge to residents with the hotel providing all necessary towels.

As a further bonus the hotel is right on the seafront in a semi secluded area. Access to the beach couldn’t have been simpler. The beach itself is typical of that area – many stones and pebbles towards the top end of the beach but, beyond that, plenty of sand lower down. The sea level itself is quite shallow. We were forced to go quite a long way out before we found any depth.

We were allocated a family room number initially but, after not liking the room for various reasons, we were moved to a different family room within a few days for the remainder of a holiday. The second room was much brighter, larger and had a better sea view.

The service we received throughout our stay was excellent. All managers and staff were most helpful and knowledgeable. The cleaning of our rooms each day was a welcome relief from home duties and the premises themselves suited us ideally (with two small exceptions mentioned below).

Similarly, the excellent breakfast menu provided relief from making breakfast at home. The food on offer was extremely extensive – healthy, unhealthy, cooked, uncooked, fruit juices, yoghurts, toast, pain au chocolat, croissants, a large variety of fresh fruit and so on, all with a variety of drinks both hot and cold. It certainly set us up for the day.

We did not eat elsewhere in the hotel so cannot comment on other food provided by the hotel throughout the day in its restaurant and bar/bistro areas.

We used the hotel as a basis for R & R and exploring new and familiar sight of Sussex. Amongst other places we explored were Arundel (the Wetlands nature centre), Brighton (twice), Saltdean and, of course, Bognor Regis itself.

(Before you ask - the one place we did not visit was Butlins.)

In addition to the rest areas within the confines of the hotel building itself we took advantage of the external gardens close to the seafront. Tables, chairs, sunshade umbrellas etc. all meant that we could play board games, read books, have drinks and generally relax whilst overlooking the sea and taking in the sea air.

To our pleasant surprise the village itself, Felpham, had a small fayre with fireworks late one evening. This was not very well advertised and we only found out about it by seeing one small poster in the public Emergency Help Centre during the walk along Bogor seafront. It should be advertised more.

We had only two disappointments at the Beachcroft.

The showers provided were not very good at all although Dennis, the premises manager, did explain to us that the hotel was in the process organising the installation of power showers so that problem should be resolved.

The second issue concerns electricity power points. We stayed in two family rooms which comprise a double bed for us parents with a side room containing bunk beds for our son and daughter. The side room did not have ANY power points whatsoever. As you can imagine, in this day and age, our son and daughter came equipped with laptops, DS game consoles, mobile phones etc. all of which needed charging and being plugged in when being used in their side room. Luckily, having experienced this kind of problem before, we had brought our own very long extension cables. However, we found out that the hotel would have provided extensions etc free of charge if we had needed them.

All in all, an excellent stay and highly recommended by us.

Thank you all at the Beachcroft.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for all your comments relating to our hotel. We appreciate you taking the time to review our hotel on Tripadvisor.

Our suggestion to every guest would be to use the hotel as a base, as we are so close to many great attractions. The public transport is not bad either!

We will take into consideration your comment regarding power points, to date we have really only had smaller children use the bunk beds (annexe) but i think this would probably be a great addition for the future.

We hope that you may decide to visit again at some point in the future.

Yours Sincerely
