Our last visit was in 2011 so we hoped the hotel would still be as good. It wasn't - it was better! We love this hotel - the staff are lovely and the food (both dinner and breakfast) is great and all freshly cooked to order. Also excellent value for money and right on the sea front so ideal for bracing seaside walks. We had a free upgrade to a seaview room which was lovely

Room Tip: seaview rooms are lovely although cost a bit extra.

im sure by now anybody reading my reviews must think im obsessive about cleanliness but i dont go away to have accomodation of an inferior standard than i have at home. my colleague and i arrived late evening after a dreadful journey due to the weather, we parked easily and were greeted in a very friendly manner with the receptionist saying she was just about to ring and check we were ok ! we were asked if we wanted to book for dinner and she told us we had been upgraded to a sea view room and the porter willingly carried my case up the 2 flights of stairs. beware these are steep and narrow not suitable for those with mobility problems. the room itself wasnt huge but well furnished and equipped including excellent hospitality tray. as other reviewers have mentioned the bathrooms are excellent and the towels thick and generous with plenty of toiletries. this was the final night of a business trip and how i wished we could have based ourselves there for the week, i slept soundly which is a rarity these days and woke refreshed and keen to see the sea after hearing it last night i wasnt disappointed but didnt venture on to the prom. the breakfast selection surpassed any hotel i have stayed in and was freah and inviting. All hot items were cooked to order and my colleagues dippy eggs were perfect. will return for leisure break when i can fit one in as the deals are excellent value for money.

Room Tip: if you are a light sleeper the noise of the sea on the pebbles may be a problem

I was pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is always very pleasing for the team to know their hard work has contributed towards an enjoyable stay for our guests. We share all our feedback and the team were very pleased to hear your comments.

I was especially pleased to read your comments regarding our breakfast selection. Some previous reviewers feel our breakfast selection is not as wide and varied as it could be. Hopefully you will be visiting the hotel again soon.

We stayed here as a result of using a Groupon voucher otherwise this hotel would never have come up on our radar.
Firstly the welcome we received on arrival was most memorable - very friendly without being forced. 'Good afternoon and welcome to the Beachcroft Hotel!' Great welcome!
We were in our sea-facing room in no time at all and at this point I would recommend a sea view room as the hotel is right on the sea front.
The room was on the top floor and of reasonable size and although dated (as was the whole hotel). The bed was extremely comfy and in spite of a function being at the hotel the night we stayed we could not hear much in the way of late night revellers leaving or from those that stayed.
Our dinner was really good - a bit of a limited choice but very well cooked and presented.
The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel - no buffet here but freshly cooked even though the restaurant was packed, mainly with overnight guests from the function the night before.
All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The whole place was very clean.
We really recommend this hotel for a short break and will hopefully revisit in the future.

Room Tip: No good for those who are not very mobile as no lift! Since booking we discovered there is a room w...

Myself and Mr Stargate opted to stay at the Beachcroft for a long weekend enabling us to visit family living nearby. We arrived at the hotel in what can only be described as apocalyptic rain and wind, but were thrilled to find we could park literally by the front door and run in.
The hotel is well placed at the end of a cul de sac with parking at the front and beyond the car park is the promenade.

Our room was on the top floor, which is 2 flights up, and as previous reviewers have said there is no lift. This wasn't a problem for us, just gave us a bit of exercise after 7 hours in the car!

The room overlooked the sea and provided a lovely view. Obviously in the dark we couldn't see much of the sea but the following morning the view was lovely, with large waves crashing up onto the beach and the sun shining onto the sea.

We slept well in the hotel on all 3 nights. It was quiet, really really quiet, even on the Saturday night when they had a function on downstairs. No one banging doors, or standing having conversations right outside your room at midnight. It's just not that sort of place.

The bed was comfortable, and the room well furnished. The bathroom was recently refurbished and had a very powerful and hot shower.

We had breakfast in the hotel which was a very pleasant experience. The dining room is quite small, and the service friendly and efficient. There was a selection of fruit, yoghurts and pastries, along with cereal, and any hot breakfast requirements are made from fresh. Good poached eggs! (our favourite)

We really enjoyed using the swimming pool, it's quite small but lovely and warm and very clean. As the weather was bad whilst we were in Bognor we were pleased to have this facility.

We didn't eat in the Hotel at night as we were with family and friends so I can't comment on the food, but the menu looked good and the restaurant was very welcoming.

Would we return agin? Definitely. This is a lovely little quiet place to have a few days downtime and enjoy the scenery. If you like a peaceful retreat with the sea breaking onto the beach just a few metres away then this is the place for you.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are really lovely!

My wife and I booked a one night stay in a sea view room as a stopover to break our journey. It is an interesting access to the hotel along a narrow cul-de-sac with the Hotel's first come first served gravelled car park at the end. On street parking is limited should the car park be full. The seafront promenade is a short walk away. Reception was efficient and checked us in quickly and politely, as was checking out, although slightly amusing to find the staff rota printed on the back of our bill. The room we had was accessed by walking through the building and up several flights of steep stairs. There is no lift in the hotel therefore mobility could be an issue so be sure to request a ground floor room if that is a concern. The room was compact but well appointed with facilities you would usually expect from Best Western. The bathroom was modern, although the room itself was dated and the central light was not working, although not a problem for the one night as there was sufficient other lighting in the room. Having dined in the hotel restaurant, we found the food to be satisfactory but certainly not of a high standard for the price. If we were to stay again, it is very likely we would find an alternative restaurant to dine. Joe, our waiter (and barman), was courteous and efficient particularly in dealing with complaints from another customer regarding poor food quality. Breakfast however was enjoyable with a good selection. The hotel hosts a variety of events so it is worth checking in advance as to how busy the hotel may be during your stay. Overall, the hotel suited our purpose but would not stay for more than one or two nights.

Room Tip: A room with a sea view is worthwhile.

My partner chose this at last minute as getaway for Christmas I ended up feeling somewhat disappointed
I felt like I was in a senior-citizen care in home - as most of the clientele was of the older variety. (Sorry folks I know I'm nearly there myself at 55)
Hospitality by staff was reasonable, the room was satisfactory, and very clean, however the Christmas meal was pricey for what was provided. Meals and full English breakfasts were satisfactory. Great sea view from bedroom and I love walks by the sea that was a plus. I must also add that the receptionist that booked us in, she was very attentive and courteous thank you!
We went to another hotel after in Arundel - much more classy

Room Tip: Choose a room with a sea view
