From the outside the hotel is very pretty and colourful and the parking is just opposite which is very handy, also because the road is a cul-de-sac.
Anyway, we arrived mid-afternoon.
We have never ever been greeted in such a rude way. As of today we still don’t know why the female owner was so unpleasant. One thing for sure is that she was both in a bad mood and in a rush. I was tired and did not feel like arguing so I just left it at that.
Anyway, she showed us the “comfort” bedroom we had booked, gave me the keys and left. Before doing so, she asked us if we would eat at the hotel, which we declined.
You can access the bedrooms straight from the street, through a lift or from the reception, but still with the lift. At no point were we shown the fire exit…
The bedroom was relatively large, but built in a strange way, i.e. there was one side of the room totally wasted.
The hotel documentation indicated that you could have wifi access if you asked. Twice we went to the reception… nobody in attendance.
In the morning we had breakfast which was € 9.50 per person.
We’ve had better and “proper” breakfasts for less!
As we were leaving the breakfast room, the male owner asked me if we could pay because they wanted to close. (Thursday is the closure day). I asked if we could first go to our bedroom and collect our suitcase (which was already packed), the answer was no! We had to pay there and then.
In other words, do not expect a smile and be ready to be greeted in a rude way, or let’s say with no manners.
We would NOT go back.
