We stayed 2 nights after coming by ferry from Portsmouth to Caen to visit the D Day beaches.
The small village of Manvieux is close to Arromanches and there are plenty of restaurants in Arromanches for an evening meal.
We stayed in the Chambre Jaune - the room was enormous. There was also a small table and chair area with tea and coffee making facilities.A separate WC and then a bath with a shower (over the bath) and basin mirror etc.The towels were changed daily however they were a little stiff could have done with some fabric conditioner.
The room was a little dark despite 2 windows in the bedroom - however as it was very hot while we were there it was pleasant to be inside after a long hot day - before getting ready to go out for an evening meal.
The breakfast was delicious fresh bread/ croissant/pain au chocolat/brioche home made yoghurt and jams etc.
There is a courtyard area out the front were you can sit as I think there is only one room that has a balcony.Free wifi is available.
If you are exploring the D Day beaches you must visit the newly opened (2013) 360 degree cinema which shows a 19 minute film with surround sound of original footage of the D Day landings.
