Monsieur André is what this charming hotel and restaurant is all about. His waf, though also very Francais, remains in the background... But Monsieur André with his lurvely French accent will guide you through the hotel and through the menu so lurvingly prepared by his waf. Great atmosphere, great food, great ambience, persevere when looking for the 'otel and follow the many signs. You'll be glad you did...

Room Tip: Ask Andre - he knows a thing or two...!

We recently had a one night stay at this gorgeous old B and B full of charm and atmosphere. The only trouble we had was finding it in the pitch dark, late at night. The GPS gave up looking and required a couple of phone calls to head us in the right direction! The bedroom was comfy, quaint and spacious, and the bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast was delightful, from homemade marmalade, to a full cooked breakfast and some great conversation with the owners.Only regret, was that we had arrived so late the night before, that we didn't really get to enjoy!

We stayed in "La Verte Campagne a.o. september 18 till 22.
Lovely old cottage, located in a quiet, calm country location, ideal for restful nights. The owner, André welcomed us very friendly, we had immediately the impression to be at a familyhome.
Our bedroom was spacious with comfortable beds, a large bathroom and separate WC.
At the cosy dining room with open fire place, we enjoyed the excellent, delicious meals prepared by André's wife Lynne, who is a brillant cook!
We'v enjoyed very much our 5 days stay at "La Verte Campagne"!

We've booked our stay via "Logis de France", in our opinion, this restaurant merits "3 cocottes" i.o. 2!

We were just over for a couple of days on a Brittany Ferries special deal to Cherbourg. My wife had never visited Mont St Michel and so we chose this as it is only just over an hour away.

The place is certainly tucked away and surrounded by typical Normandy farming land. The welcome from Andre and Lynn is so friendly and they can't do enough to make you feel at home. The bedroom was spacious and fine if not ultra luxurious. However, the meal was really terrific and served in a cosy dining room with a log fire in the open grate. Lynn is certainly a talented cook and we will visit again if only for the food!

Room Tip: A small hotel with limited choice.

Run by Andre and Lynne this peaceful retreat is situated in the beautiful French countryside some 50 miles south of Cherbourg. As mentioned by "AgingSlowly" the bedrooms are comfortable and creaky but don't let this put you off. The food is imaginative and delicious. Last summer we visited and ate dinner outside in their charming garden. This time we dined by a cosy log fire. You get a big welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Consider giving Andre a call with your booking dates and he will sort out the best room available for you.
