Our family have been staying in polzeath for the last 20 years and have supported the local cafe and restaurants. Sandbar is the perfect place to eat and have a coffee break too. We have been there at all different times of the day. Lovely to have breakfast sat on the sofas looking out to the beach ( could do with more windows though)or in the evenings/lunch times in the dining area.
The team work well and nothing is no problem, on one visit we had a very fussy child with us so the chef made a meal of the things she liked. In the high season in august it's very busy there, but common sense you know that there may be a bit of a delay for food. ( by further ten mins) It was still always served hot and with an apology.
Our dog was welcomed too with bowl of water, would not recommend a dog during busy times though...!
I always check out toilets as they tell you a lot about a place. Found them clean and tidy with few finishing touches.
Would like to mention that they also do take away from the deli counter. Pannis to die for. Pizzas too.
The Sand bar is the place to be when in Polzeath for the family... As a special treat also try the Waterfront restaurant upstairs too.
