We were recommended this hotel for B&B by the Tourist Information Centre. We knew it was in Dossenheim which is well to the north of Heidelberg and that it was a 20 minute tram ride to the centre. The hotel is modern, and the room (Room 1) is very clean with plenty of space.
Unfortunately our German is EXTREMELY limited and the staff had a similar level of English. We would have welcomed some information at least on getting into Heidelberg as the ticket machines (obviously but sadly) only displayed in German. We bought tickets but have no idea if they were the right ones for our journey. Fortunately there was no inspection on either of our return trips.
What really spoiled our stay was the loud party that went on until 2.00 am. Apparently it was the owner's birthday but that was no consolation for a very disturbed night's sleep.
Breakfast and service in the bar was fine and if we had slept well, it would have been good value for money.
