I have recently visited the Savoi Spice Plantation and found the visit very interesting and recommend a visit atleast once to those who have not been on a spice farm. On arrival we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a couple of snacks. After this we were taken for about an hour's visit around the plantation and were shown the different species of herbs, fruits and plants grown in the plantation. The same was very informative especially for youngsters who have these topics as part of their curriculum. On completion of the visit we were again treated to some delicious snacks like fried prawns, breadfruit and mackerel. Those who wanted to have a beer were welcome to do so. We were then treated to some wonderful home made cuisine comprising of rice, dal, vegetables and non veg dishes supplemented by sol kadi and desserts. After taking some rest we then departed wholly pleased and wanting to come once more time.
