The place is excellent but I would like to say little about the owner & the family of Savoi plantation .Humility doesn’t top the list of popular virtues these days, but if you’re ever in need of help, a humble friend is more likely to be there for you than a prideful one, The Satarkar family is the one who thinks that serving humanity as thier prime objective .Humbleness has also been linked with generosity. The charitable giving and generous behavior toward others without expecting any monetary gains is hard to find these days & that what i experienced in Savoi plantation.
Even if you dont have much time to stay in Savoi plantation , dont miss the chance of meeting the owner Mr.Anna Satarkar.

We were greeted by a guide who at first didn't seem overly welcoming (imagine the grim reaper), but he warmed up a little as our tour of the spice-growing area began. (FYI--The tourist information center in Panjim said the tour at Savoi would be 450 INR, but they charged us 500 INR--We didn't really negotiate with the man because at that point he already brought out drinks and snacks for us.) After the walk through the spice-growing area (at which point our guide reminded us that we could feel free to tip him later if we enjoyed the overall experience), we sat down and were brought delicious breaded calamari and potatoes, followed by a nice buffet lunch--very tasty! If you want to do a spice tour in Goa, this would not be a bad choice!

I have recently visited the Savoi Spice Plantation and found the visit very interesting and recommend a visit atleast once to those who have not been on a spice farm. On arrival we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a couple of snacks. After this we were taken for about an hour's visit around the plantation and were shown the different species of herbs, fruits and plants grown in the plantation. The same was very informative especially for youngsters who have these topics as part of their curriculum. On completion of the visit we were again treated to some delicious snacks like fried prawns, breadfruit and mackerel. Those who wanted to have a beer were welcome to do so. We were then treated to some wonderful home made cuisine comprising of rice, dal, vegetables and non veg dishes supplemented by sol kadi and desserts. After taking some rest we then departed wholly pleased and wanting to come once more time.
