Had booked the hotel by seeing its pictures and reviews. Had booked for 2N-3D Package which comprises of 3 Cottages . The cost of Each cottage was Rs 3600 for 2 Adults and Rs 1500 for every child above 6 years. So we had a total of 8 Adults and 3 Child.
When we entered our rooms it was nowhere near what a cottage would mean. It was basically a small room with a small 14 inch tv and a old window ac. The rooms were so small that there were hardly any place to move around. The bathroom was more pathetic. On top of it there were bed bugs on the bed which resulted in rashes to my 6 month old daughter.
So next day we went to check out. To our utter surprise the person at the Reception simply refused to let us check out and was blatantly saying that to check out we have to pay 2 days rent since we have booked for 2 days. And when we complained about the bed bugs he simply refused to accept the fact. So we lost our temper and started shouting at him.

However instead of trying to pacify us or anything that person at the reception started to shout back at us and hurl abuses. Even the entire hotel staff gathered( waiters, housekeeping, etc) and started to put pressure on us to pay the amount. The situation was looking like they would now beat us if we dont pay. One Black Complexioned Thin Guy was so aggressive that he literally wanted to beat us.

Finally one gentleman from the hotel intervened and the issue was solved. We were allowed to check out.

This was a complete new and pathetic experience I had in my life. Trust me i have traveled all over the world but have not seen this type of behavior. Service industry people are the most patient and well mannered lot in the whole world.
Before the booking was made we use to get calls twice a day from the hotel to pay the booking amount. And the lady was so polite on the phone.

I strongly suggest not to stay in this piece of crap hotel called Sana Beach Resort.

We have stayed in this property for holi. It has been a good experience. Their cottages are nice right in front of the sea beach . The deluxe rooms are quiet spacious with modern bathroom fittings. The sea beach is very nice ....FOOD was too good...they organised holi programmes both in morning and in the evening too...pool area was over crowded so couldnt use it....

Room Tip: sea facing rooms

We have stayed in this property on four occasions. Each time it has been a good experience. Their cottages are nice right in front of the sea beach , though the rooms are a bit cramped. The deluxe rooms are quiet spacious with modern bathroom fittings. The sea beach is very nice and is not too crowded . it is right in front of the resort so you can relax within the resort complex and walk to the sea as many times you may want to. The food they serve in the resort is the typical North India rich gravy type of food. Even their Bengali styled food tastes like any north Indian dishes with lots of masalas. They have lovely sit-outs along the sea front within their property where you can hang around with friends and family and you can carry your own alcoholic beverages and the hotel will provide you glasses and ice bucket. You can even order Sea food snacks from the shacks just outside the hotel and enjoy the same which is even tastier than the hotel ones. They have a lovely swimming pool with Jacuzzi ... Children would really enjoy the place as it's a very big property with lots of things to do...

Room Tip: staying in the Cottage is very exciting ...

It has fantastic fooding and Room service and ambience specially near the Swimming pool. Its a bit costly around 3500/day but it's none less than #3 star experience you will get there. Value for money. :-)

I traveled here between (15th to 17th) August 2011....

Firstly booking was a pain..... Its on one end of the city and they dont accept credit cards there....

I paid 15500/- for 2nights with in MAP ( breakfast and one meal).... Its only on reaching the place I found out that the rates are variable.... i.e they slaughter on the easy prey and no professional ethics...

Moreover I was ASURED OF SEA VIEWING rooms...Took th ones on the second floor and the only view are the trees in front... SEA...U cant SEE!!!

Whereas, the resort is on the corner and is tucked away for a quite and romantic escapade.... The rooms are decent, cozy infact albeit slightly small.. 2nd floor was HOT though...And this inate idea of switching off the AC at 5.30 or 6.00 or whatever is a bummer...

The pool and everything else makes it a decent place..... Thats JUST IT...

Since the place was full, had a helluva wait in getting any room service and struggled with my 1.8yr son's basic needs.

The unprofessional running, moderate food, overprice makes it unpleasant to say the least...... Just NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

Room Tip: am told 1st floor is slightly better

1. We strictly follow & maintain our tariff / package rates. This may be varied around 10% depend on the booking position.

2. We believe in nature so we tried to keep the nature (casurina trees) as best as we can.
If that makes anybody unhappy we regret for the same. But this is also fact that our property situated perfectly on the beach.

3. To minimise the heat we have made false celling in the room and made the outside walls hollow.. But still in scorching heat room temperature may not satisfy you. As there are no electricity we have to use generator only and at the time of booking / at reception we are conveing 22 hours guarenteed electricity and two hours off (to cool the generators).
But we are really sorry for the inconvenience.

4. Test of food varies man to man. We are getting "A" rating from most of the guests.

This place is best you can get in Mandarmoni. Great site right on the beach with natural beauties. The food was excellent. Also staffs were very friendly, always ready to comply with you. There were enough materials for children to play. However rooms were just above the average. The biggest drawback was lack of internet facilities. IF U WANTS A HOLIDAY FOR 2-3 DAYS AWAY FROM HUSTLE-BUSTLE OF DAILY LIFE GO FOR THIS.

This place is right on the beach and probably the biggest and best due to the lack of options. The place is well decorated, the rooms are small yet cozy, the main building and amenities are nice. The food is pretty decent though I would prefer the food outside in the shacks since they give you a feeling of Goa. Overall this place is the best you can get in Mandarmoni. A little overpriced but best option.

Room Tip: Please check tide timings at night since the water comes up to the gate of the resort during high ti...
