“Beautiful house and lovely hosts.”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

This guest house was a real gem in a pretty location. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. Room was pleasant and clean and overlooked the pretty garden. The only thing I would add is that they do not like you to have alcohol in the room so if you fancied a nightcap you shouldn't but other than this would recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the garden.

From our arrival on Friday 22nd August, we were made to feel welcome. Bridgefoot House has 3 stars, well deserved, the room was clean and well appointed and it has some lovely features. en-suite is small but adequate The bed in our room (7) is the most comfortable we have slept in away from home, our hosts, Ron and Lindsey could not have been more helpful and made our stay that bit more special. The breakfast is, without a doubt, the best we have had.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 7, this has lovely views up the Beck and of the garden. Although there was a main...

This is a 9-bedroomed B&B. The rooms are comfortable; they do not have the same as a hotel e.g. writing table, but this was a base for visiting the area not a business trip. Possibly some of the rooms have facilities for a business-traveller. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was small but well-equipped. Nice television in the room with a good range of satellite channels. Breakfast is excellent and has deservedly won awards.....I like my fried egg to have a soft yolk so I can let it soak into the fried bread.....Lindsey always obliged. Had a very enjoyable stay. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Bridgefoot.

Thanks for an enjoyable stay. Lovely location and a warm wlecome. Our room was a good size and the breakfast was lovely. I didn't find the bed or pillows very comfy but it was good that there were spare pillows in the wardrobe which I could use. The room only has single glazing and poor insulation so I would be apprehensive of staying here in colder weather.
We were able to park the car on the drive outside the property and two good local pubs were in a short walking distance.

Stayed here for my sisters wedding in the area, warm welcome by the new owners who were very accommodating to all our needs as we booked out all rooms. We were in the larger family room, beds very comfortable & even though on the front the road noise wasn't noticed. The bathroom was small with a bath & not a proper shower ( this wasn't a real problem) would be nice if the carpet could be taken out of bathrooms.

Everything clean & nothing too much trouble so i would stay here again. Breakfast pre-ordered day before & cooked to order as you arrive at breakfast.
