“Bad service encounter”

First time visiting Philippines. First impression counts, arrived at the airport the customs officer was very slow, average 2 mins per passenger. And 2 flight landed at the same time. We queue for almost 1 hr. transport was prearrange in advance. Just had a quick bite and bought a SIM card from the airport cost me 600peso for unlimited data that can last me with the five days trip.
3 hours journey from Manila airport to the resort. After I board the van, I fell asleep, until the destination. We were transfer to another vehicle, to the resort, is less than 5 mins ride. When we reach the lobby. We were in the over. It was so warm. Even though is just next to the beach but I hardly feel any sea breeze but hot and warm air.
It took 30 mins for us to get our room key for the group on 20people. 2-3 mins walk to our room. Facing the sea and with balcony. Facilities and amenities was sufficient good. Our TV was not working at all. As the main purpose is diving. Room was spacious. Able to saw ants crawling on the ceiling.
3 meals included during our trip.
We had our lunch on the upper deck of the restaurant. It was really a warmer or oven. Can't imagine how can the servers survive. I started to sweat after 2 mins. The server quickly serve you ice water and a special cold drinks for the day. Food was more too oily or too salty.
Problem encounter during dinner. We were told that dinner starts at 1800 hrs, and the operation timing also stated 1800 for dinner. When we arrived at 1800 hrs, the servers told us the food was not ready, and inform me that it is just 1730 hrs. Looking at the clock and when to check clear with the reception it was 1800 hrs. I wonder they have different timing on front office and the restaurant. After the server realize is their fault that 5-6 restaurant servers were saying that it was 1730.
Food was setup after 20 minutes. Yes is still warm during dinner time, as is all open air concept.
On the Saturday night, dinner was separate into 2 section, group of diver and other in house guest. Food was so different from us. The in house group have life stations, better quality food compare to us. Feel sad on that day.
If there is a better cooling resort ill avoid this resort.
The dive center is kind of run down. Unsystematic compare to all the trip I went before.
Avoid the reception.

Our consultancy team spent a week of business planning and team building in this place. The experience was a very good one because of the wonderful amenities, accommodating staff and very good food. Though many of their services, and amenities is a bit costly, it pays off. We, females occupied the villa while the gentlemen occupied the cabins. The men were not so happy with the cabin because it was small to their liking and they, unlike the ladies, don't like to share beds. The villa is very nice and very large, accommodating an entire family. The food, a buffet, are really good. We also went to an island named Sepok where we had our games and group dynamics. Though one encountered an accident (being pricked by a sea urchin), the experience of kayaking and swimming in clean waters gave us a wonderful experience.

The place is really very relaxing.

Room Tip: The villa is better for large families or group.

The property is a compound that feels like a prison. We stayed there March 2014 and were completely let downand upset. The pools are freezing. The shark pool and bird inclosures are rundown and inhumane. Wifi is very overpriced at $14 daily. The food is sub par with small portions and way over priced. The pool table and table tennis are falling apart. The locks for our rooms would not stay locked and security had to fix 3 out of 4 locks. The rooms had a horrific ant problem. It got so bad they gave up and put in each room an insecticide can so that we could keep spraying ourselves. They kept trying to add extra buffet charges when they were already paid. They even added charges from other people that we caught and they eventually deducted from our bill. The mattresses are very old, flat, stained, and only 5 inches thick. The compound is very spread out with many steps going up and down. So many steps it was dangerous for the kids. This hotel has no beach on premises. We were promised a beach in our reservation and found out that beach is on another island. This is a beach side hotel with no beach. They will take you to the beach on another island via boat for an additional fee of US $50. But of course we did not do because of the already crazy additional over priced rates. We left this compound very upset, let down, and wishing we never came.

Room Tip: The only tip is to not waste your money here.

Easy to reach - within 3 hrs from Manila, by public transport. A beautiful location. 500 Pesos, to access the resort, a neat and clean cabana (if u reach early). Professional divers from PADI, helpful, patient with first time divers, try Litto - he is really awesome.

A few minutes of diving in the training pool, and u r ready for the sea. The most amazing thing is that u get to see the coral reefs from the very first minute. Breath-taking !!!

Go for it..

Beautiful resort and nice rooms! The snorkeling was great. Only downside was they charge you to have visitors come onsite and its far from and citys or shopping so if you just need a get away and want to relax at the hotel its great! Also the wifi didnt work great in our room, we had to be near the restaurant. Great security!

We went to Eagle Point Resort on a day trip from Manila and had a fantastic time. We plan to make this a regular weekend activity based on the great time we had.

We left Manila at 7am, for a leisurely and easy 1.5-2.0 hour drive to the resort. Upon arrival, we availed of a day tour package I had confirmed by email. It included a nipa hut cabana with bed, bathroom with shower and a pleasant little patio with decent view of the ocean. Full use of the facilities and lunch and afternoon snack were provided. The pool area is nice with lounges available and view of open sea. Facilities are nice... 3-Star quality.

There's no beach, however a short banca boat ride takes you to what we found to be a very pleasant private beach area (Sepoc Island) that is managed by the resort. Our set meal was willingly packed up into containers and loaded on the boat to eat on the beach. At the beach area, there is a large covered patio type area with lots of tables and chairs, as well as tables & chairs in the sand on the beach under some pleasant shade trees. You can get any number of drinks there at the beach.

One of the most pleasant surprises was the quality of the reef area there at the private beach. The reef is in very good condition and we spent the day snorkelling there at the beach. In fact, we chose to remain there instead of going by banca to the other quality areas nearby. Fantastic!

The rental gear is in average to poor condition, so set your expectations accordingly... If you're super picky, bring your own stuff.

We were very well taken care of by Ms. Grace Claud, the activities manager there at the resort, who suggested our mobile meal arrangement, handled our last minute reservation of a banca, and generally looked after our enjoyment. Everyone at the resort was super polite.

We are looking forward to coming again.

Ive been diving in the Philippines for almost six years and was invited by my friends to join them at Eagles Point Resort,
Just want to share how absolutely poor service they have and people are not friendly at all especially dive facility, equipment is unsafe to rent from the shop its old looks like never been serviced all tanks are leaking underwater. During our dives the guy who manages the dive shop will just seat and watch people crawling out of the water on the knees and no one will help you to even hold the fins. After telling him we will be doing night dive he obviously was pissed off coz he wanted to close the shop earlier. AND HEY BTW SHARKS ARE BELONG TO THE OCEAN NOT IN YOUR FILTHY POOL!!!!
