“Great location for daytime relaxtion with easy access to Ibiza town”
Reviewed 16 July 2009

Ca n'Arabi is in a great location just outside of Ibiza town. Its a short taxi journey to the restaurants and clubs in the Ibiza town area yet far enough out of town to be peaceful and relaxing during the day.

The attractive pool area is set in orange groves and has comfortable large sunloungers under canopies for shade. Ideal for recovering the next day after a late night.

There was a good selection of meats, cheese and fruit for breakfast, with free coffee available all day.

The only downside is that later on in the evening, it can be slightly hard to find staff to call you a taxi. Taxi or driving is the only real option for getting out and about.

I've been coming to ibiza for the past 10 years, usually i try diffrent hotels but then I stumbled upon can arabi and i fell in love instantly. I'm not one to write reviews but this charming hotel is worth writing about. The place is so beautiful filled with exotic sweet smelling flowers, the pool area is so comfortable and quite perfect for reading and relaxing, The rooms are fantastic very spacious, decorated beautifuly, with amazing bathrooms!!(wish I lived there!!!) Each night does include breakfeast consisting of fruits, yogurts, home cooked breads of all diffrent types, cheeses,meats,jams,juices,coffees,etc... The location is only 5 min from ibiza town or clubs like pacha but do not be fooled can arabi is a very quite place. i have stayed in can arabi religiously for the past five summers and I'm very much looking forward to summer six in can arabi.

We have just returned from a week in Ca n'Arabi and for the record absolutely loved it. It does help if you can speak spanish, however the staff were very friendly and the hotel stunning. I am a stickler for good service and noted the comments previously about service/orange juice! It should be said that the orange juice was squeezed to order and so I can understand any resentment to providing further glasses - it would take up way to much time! As regards management - very professional and courteous. I couldnt fault them. As regards rooms, our room was large, tastefully furnished and opend onto a wonderful terrace overlooking the orange groves. The neighbours terrier also came everyday to say hello and play!! We loved it and will definitely be going back.

Stayed at the Ca n’Arabi for the 07 Ibiza closing parties. This really is a nice hotel with spacious, well appointed rooms set in a beautiful orange grove. The pool area has several huge sun-loungers which are great for post-club napping and an al-fresco breakfast area. What could have been a great hotel stay was spoiled by the surly attitude of the staff, especially at breakfast. The breakfasts themselves were extremely disappointing with little variety of choice or availability (1 glass of orange juice per person). There was also little or no evidence of why this was advertised as an “eco-hotel” unless you count the “sustainable” orange juice supply. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a venue if you are prepared to laugh at the attitude of most of the staff rather than complain about it.

Management changed in 2008.
If you read the recent reviews, you will notice that many things have changed.
No problems about fresh squeezed orange Juice in the morning, you can have as much as you want, free coffee (nespresso) and cakes all day, also water and fruits, no cost for pool towels or safes.
Better selection of cakes and cold cuts for breakfast, also fried eggs, smoked salmon, cheeses (goat, camembert..)
Snack menu all day
Cancellation policy also has changed.
We have learned a lot from your reviews, please keep on writing, and we recommend you to come back, you will see how happy and satisfied all our guests are since we have improved all those areas.
Thank you for all your comments

Thank you very much

This hotel is an oasis of tranquility not too far from the madding crowd. Beautifully presented boutique -esque former cow shed situated amongst olive trees and orange groves.

There is a fantastic pool area with very comfortable sun loungers - an easy place to find relaxation and well deserved rest from disco fever. The rooms are spacious and have all mod-cons including quiet air-conditioning and satellite TV. We removed the over-priced items from the minibar to restock it with items we purchased from the store 10 minutes walk away.

You should be aware that after breakfast, there are no facilities to purchase refreshments or snacks. There is a shoddy coffee machine which you have to pay 50 cents to use but other than that, thirst and starvation could drive you mad unless you have remortgaged to pay for the minibar.

Breakfast is measly and the orange juice police will offer you no more than one glass per person. God forbid if you ask for more than your quota. Providing good service is such an easy thing to do but the management at Ca n'Arabi treat guests as an hinderance rather than paying guests. To be frank, this hotel is not cheap and the little extras are missing - the hospitality of the hotel is seriously lacking.

The noise mentioned by an earlier reviewer is the sun shade being opened over the entrance area. We were also disturbed by this hideous intrusion into an otherwise tranquil haven.

All in all, this hotel has the makings of a perfect retreat but (and this is a big but), someone should tell the management to take a course in hospitality and orange juice consumption forecast management. Funny how something so small can over shadow all the good things from a place.

I would stay again but I would take a tesco's weekly shop to stock up the fridge.

The grounds are full of lime and olive trees with swallows diving through the air. It's very peaceful and a complete oasis from the madness a lot of the island offers. THe landscaping, interiors and gardens were impressive and complemented the stay.

The rooms were clean, with big beds, bathrooms and quiet aircon. Our room offered a terrace in the shade and great place to relax and watch the sunset..

We didn't have a car but never found it a problem to get a taxi or to find the hotel on our way home, it's only 8 euros from Ibiza port, less than 3km away. It feels like it's in the middle of know-where but actually it's just outside Ibiza.

Negatives:
The breakfast was o.k. a bit boring after a few days and you were only offered 1 glass of orange juice as if it was in short supply. Also they wouldn't even over a drink 1 minute past breakfast time.

One problem we encoutered was a loud noise every morning around 8:30 which woke us every day( not great after a night in Pacha). When we complained they offerd no explanation. Also little things like paying for coffee during the day and having no internet access was a pain.

Overall: A good place to stay if you want peace, little interaction with anyone, nice pool and a relaxing time. We also got charged for changing our stay by one night but which shows little customer service but they do state that at the beginning.

Note. The sister hotel C an Juame which is 100 meters away looked beautiful,
