“Nice and comfortable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

Stayed for 3 nights in April 2014. Located in Senggigi town centre (not much of a town though) on a 12 acres land along the beach, beautiful. An old resort, the first in Lombok, surrounded by greeneries and right at the seafront. Room albeit dated. Size-wise was adequate with the necessary furnishing. Wi-fi available throughout the resort. Swimming pool is big enough to cater for aldults and children. Italian restaurant with playing band is right on the beach front. SPA is also available. Breakfast spread was good, so was the ala carte food. Staff were all friendly and helpful and service good. Taxi or horse carriage is available outside the gate to get you to town which is about 100 metres away. All-in-all, a nice and comfortable resort, value for your money. Recommended.

first time in lombok and i dont think we could have picked a better place to start. the rooms were dated but comfortable and everything worked. the gardens were lovely and it is right on the beach. the breakfast was fantastic and the dining room was just lovely with a great view. the restaurant on the beach is a great place to watch the sun go down. i dont need to stay anywhere else. the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: ground floor has direct access to beach. but they are all lovely.

Stayed at this resort as the reviews were good....lovely clean hotel with great manicured gardens and friendly helpful staff. An awesome place to relax with the family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beach is lovely and clean and the fact that hawkers are not allowed access to the hotel beach makes your day enjoyable and you don't have to worry about being hassled to buy something. The Spa at the resort is great and very professional....JUNE is the best month for The Spa as the prices are really good. Happy hour was a big ++++ buy one get one free, just remember to eat a meal as the cocktails are so good and you only got 2 hours to fit as many as you can in :)

My only unpleasant time was when I heart the resort manager talk down to staff members at the bar because the music had stopped...she really needs to think about how and when she talks down to staff, they are doing a fantastic job at a fantastic resort. She really upset me as it was uncalled for and unprofessional.

Other to that AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME -- will definitely visit again

Room Tip: Definitely sea view close to the restaurants or if you have the extra cash you have to book at the p...

Stayed for transit before and after go to Gili T

The room is nice and clean stayed in fist floor and second floor sea view room. The room have balcony for 2nd floor have good view but I like 1st floor better since it have direct access to the beach. I have no complaint for the fist visit but at the second visit after back from Gili T. Takes long time for check in we arrived around 2:30 PM but the room is not ready, after asking many time they switch to other room at 3:15 PM it's not acceptable for 4 star hotel for guest to waiting check in after 2 PM. Have mosquito problem at the room but after calling room service and come to spray pesticide.

Location is very nice great view and near to mini mart, restaurant.

Definitely will back to this hotel if want to stay at senggigi

Room Tip: Sea View Room since I can't afford villa.

We stayed here for 4 nights in May, it was our first hotel and nothing else compared. It's in the best location on senggigi, right on the beach with a good surf break. We loved the gardens which are so well kept. Very peaceful hotel. We loved the happy hour at the beachfront bar, a good place to watch the sunset also. We ate here once, we found the serving sizes very small although the pizza was delicious. All the staff are very friendly. Pool is soooo nice and was not very busy when we were there. Loved our stay!

Attempts by our travel agent to reach the Chandi Boutique Resort proved unsuccessful which turned out to be a good thing as we ended at at the Kila Senggigi Beach Hotel next door. The hotel itself is supposedly the oldest in the area and is owned by Aerowisata, an Indonesian hospitality company.

We occupied one of two sea view bungalows which has absolutely brilliant views of the beach and on clear days, Mt Agung over in Bali is visible. The room was quite adequate for our family of three and adjacent to the swimming pool, the Rinjani Restaurant (where breakfasts are served) and a short walk from the Basilico Bistro (which serves up pizzas and western grub). The beach is literally a hop and a skip in front of the bungalow.

Unfortunately this is also pretty much where things happen, including a live band at the Basilico Bistro which starts around 5 in the evening and ending around 11, so unless you're a music fan, this is not the room for you! Plus there was indeterminate music emanating from somewhere that went on till around 4 a.m. Couldn't figure that one out and didn't bother to check with the establishment.

Anyway, the property is faced on three side by beaches with the one towards Bali to the west by far the most pristine while the beach to the right of the resort is inundated with day trippers, kayak rentals and a host of other commercial enterprises. The beach to the south was fairly quiet and perhaps even nondescript.

Breakfasts were fine if a little uninteresting after the second day, serving up Indonesian fare and the usual egg station, fruits and drinks. But more than adequate if you're not a fussy eater!

And oh, don't leave your room door open after six p.m., unless you don't mind a generous spray of insecticide in your room which the hotel graciously offers each evening.

A visit to the spa right now is a good deal as staff are undergoing 'training' and they have great offers on several packages available that include all natural herbs and ingredients.

Senggigi 'Town' itself is a ten minute walk away and there're a number of restaurants, all night marts and a small number of sidewalk pedlars selling pearls, key chains and the like. And if you decide to take the little pony carts, these are around IDR20,000 or USD2 for a short ride.

Overall, not a bad hotel to stay in and facilities are adequate except for the absence of a gym. Great place for families.

Room Tip: Try to get a room closer to the pool or Rinjani Restaurant. It can be quite a walk otherwise.

We enjoyed four days at the Senggigi Beach hotel in May 2014. We stayed in a villa with a nice sunset view over the beach. The hotel has the best location on the beach in the Senggigi area as far as we could tell. The beach was not crowded. One can sit on the beach itself or enjoy seating on the edge of the beach inside the hotel with chair side bar service. The villa was comfortable and large enough. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast, included with our room, was extensive and good. The hotel caters to a mix of Indonesian and international business. It has a more Indonesian feel than the "international" hotels on other islands. We did not visit other hotels like the Lombok Sheraton so we cannot compare. The room was comfortably air conditioned and also had a ceiling fan for circulation. Everything else is open air. The sea breezes provide fine ventilation without air conditioning. It is a short walk from the hotel to the little town of Senggigi Beach. You can book whatever travels or "adventures" you want either at the hotel or in town.
